Good Chineese-Vietnameese food 8/26/2009

This restaurant has been one of my favorite lunch places for more than 10 years. TDF is an acronym for Tay Do Friday. The best Fish ball soup in the city, very good Vietnamese dishes, and solid lunch selection. Service can be a drag sometimes but in my view quality of food overweighs sluggish service. Terrible service 3/16/2008

Food has been good, but our group didn't get individual checks, drink order wasn't filled, dishes just set on lazy susan, man cashier was extremely rude, didn't want to take a credit card for 1 person's bill, but didn't want a personal check either. NEVER GOING TO EAT THERE AGAIN. I am telling all my friends to stay away from there also. There are other wonderful Chinese, Vietnamese places to eat. Pros: Food Cons: Service more

My favorite Chinese restaurant 8/29/2006

I've been going to Taydo for almost 10 years now and I can say without any hesitation that it's my favorite Chinese restaurant in the world. If you love wonton soup, this is the place to go! I strongly recommend their vermicelli dishes and the salt & pepper shrimp. I've actually never had anything bad here - it's always tasty. The price is slightly higher than your average chinese restaurant ($10 per dish instead of $8), but absolutely worth it. The best part of eating at Taydo is the leftovers the next day. The only downside of this place is that sometimes on Saturdays they're closed for weddings; call in advance if you're going to go on a Saturday. Good Food, Poor Service 4/27/2006

UNfortunatley I have been here quite a few times (only b/c some of my co-workers drag me there for quick Vietnamese food. However, I will not eat there ANYMORE> the food is okay, not bad >not wonderful. BUT THE SERVICE! UGH! It takes too long for anyone to notice you've entered, then whoever seats you seems like they are going out of their way, the waiters take FOREVER to even take drink orders, & they are horrible about checking up on the customer. Every time I have been there, HORRIBLE SERVICE. I just will NOT go back. Pros: Ok Food, Pretty decor Cons: HORRIBLE SERVICE, BAD MANAGEMENT more
