Best

I enjoyed the food and our server was very friendly and helpful. We made sure to give him a good tip and I hope you will to!

Worst

On a Sunday evening, with three tables full, the food was served late at every table. Some people at each table had finished their food before the others were served. One woman ...

A+ for food AND service! 1/30/2005

Taste of Thailand is a great little nook. We ate there last night, and the food was fantastic! Very affordable, also. I just wanted to comment on the great service we had, too. Our sodas were kept topped up, and we didn't have to wait very long at all for our food. Overall, Taste of Thailand was a great place, and I will definitely be going back there! more

Worst Dining Experience Ever 1/28/2005

This was the worst dining experience I've ever had. We did take out. They lost ourt order. The owner chewed us out for 20 minutes because she thought we ordered from the Fridley restaurant (We didn't). She called all her other restaurants to confirm this and still insisted that we go out to Fridley to pick the order there (again, we ordered from St. Paul). She then called our phone number and made our friends (who were waiting for the food) recite the phone number we called (the St. Paul number). ONLY THEN DID SHE PUT OUR ORDER IN! We were at the restaurant for an hour. No apology or any acknowedgment of their error. To top it off, when we finally got home with our food, she called AGAIN to tell us how to do it next time. There won't be a next time. It was completely unpleasant. Cons: mean, rude, incompetent more

Service bad, food good 2/25/2004

While the food here is good and is almost equal to Ruam Mit the service is the worst I've ever experienced in any restaurant ever. While we were seated quickly we were left alone for at least 20 minutes, no water, no someone will be with your shortly. Just left alone. While I know some Thai restaurants are known for spotty service, this was just awful. The food may be worth the wait for some people but I think better food and service can be found at Ruam Mit. If you do take the risk anything here with sauces is bound to be wonderful, the currys and Pad Thai are excellent. The spring rolls and dipping sauce almost rival Ruam Mit therefore wonderful. Free parking is a plus. Pros: Free parking, Good food Cons: , employee attitude, atmosphere more

BEST THAI FOOD 10/23/2003

This restaurant has the best tasting PAD THAI I've ever had. They also have a great tasting curry, and very sweet cream cheese wontons. I always get the best service here since I am a regular. Pros: inexpensive, nice employees, GREAT food more

Always good 10/23/2003

The food at this dumpy little neighborhood restaurant is phenomenal. Service can be slow, and it invariably takes 15 minutes longer than they say it will take if you order out, but it's worth the wait. I could eat 2 gallons of their chicken curry (and almost have). Spring rolls are also excellent. Better than most other Thai restaurants, though Ruam Mit comes close. Pros: great food, no mistakes, spicy as you want Cons: take-out wait, busy dinner times, can run out of food more

Excellent!! 1/1/2003

Great food at a reasonable price. Kinda of a bland atmoshpere, but if you just want great ethnic food this is the place for you more

I Declare Taste of Thailand the Winner! 12/5/2002

So some go to MSP and cheer for Sawatdee chanting ""atmosphere inferiority"" to the ""Taste"" in the STP But the walls aint there to see, just to keep out snow and cold. The thing to know about the ""Taste"" is that its plates are off the hinges... delectably delicious. Sure, share that Pad Thai as two, but don't leave the meal that way! You haven't tasted tasty Thai without Chicken Satay! Yum!!! You know that you love it!!! So go grab yourself a bite! afternoon or night! Right now, for lunch or dinner! Taste of Thailand is the winner! Ha ha ha. I love this place. Pros: the entrees, value priced, FREElemonH20toDRINK! Cons: poor parking, takeout consumes time more

TOT ROCKS 11/20/2002

My roommate and I eat at Taste of Tia at least once a week. Great food, friendly service and awesome prices. more

Taste of Thailand Terrific 11/5/2002

The food is worth overlooking the need for an update. It's been said that you should only come if you have time to wait in line, but I've only had to wait once or twice- at peak dinner hours. The lunch buffet is out of this world, but not for the timid. These are not Minnesota spices! Waitstaff are friendly (most), just not overly attentive or fast. If the ambiance were better, I couldn't get a seat, so I hope they don't re-do it soon. Pros: Food, inexpensive, Food Cons: ambiance, crowded, slow more

worth the wait 9/18/2002

While service may be slow at times, the food is well worth it! My sister moved out of the state and she has to go to T of T everytime she comes back to visit. Pros: great food Cons: slow service more

Minnesota Food, again. 9/18/2002

The curry I had, I didn't recognize has no complex spices to it. The heat seemed to come from all hot pepper. The Pahd Thai was sweet and tasted like Ketsup. I am glad to go back to LA. more

Authentic Delicious Thai 8/28/2002

I spent 2 months in Thailand and this is by far some of the best, most authentic Thai I have had in any city. Forget about the decor and concentrate on the food!!!! Only restaurant in the Twin Cities that will actually give me food ""Thai hot."" Pros: Great food, Authentic, Good Price Cons: decor more

thai it 8/8/2002

My girlfriend introduced me to the delightful tastes of Taste of Thailand. It became our little spot. Now we discovered the new one that opened not too long ago close to our apartment in East St. Paul. Thank You more

A real treat! 8/4/2002

Arriving at 8:30 p.m. on a weekday night, Taste of Thailand was busy, but only required a short wait. It was worth it. My companion and I enjoyed sweet iced teas while waiting for our main dishes. I had a vegetable curry that was a good prtion, but I finished it, nonetheless. The service was a little sparse, but did accomodate us, letting us stay after close to eat dessert long after the other guests had departed. Mangoes and sticky rice was never so good. Very affordable. I will make many returns. Pros: tasty entrees, friendly service, affordable Cons: small, can be crowded more

A St. Paul Treasure 7/17/2002

This is my favorite Thai food restaurant. It is truly one of St. Paul's many treasures. They have a large menu with great descriptions. Even those who have never eaten Thai before (or are a bit afraid to) can find something to suit their taste. The portions are quite large and the price is very reasonable (most entres $7-10). more
