I have only been to Taste Cafe once, but the one time I went I enjoyed the food (especially the hummus). Pros: Decent food Cons: Wait staff can be snooty; wish there was a take-out option more

The Customer is NEVER right! 5/10/2008

This was once a favorite spot to grab brunch until I asked to add lettuce and tomato to a sandwich and was told NO. The clerk said the kitchen would not make modifications to any item. I asked if they could put it on the side, charge me extra, anything - to which she replied NO. When I called the manger on Monday to discuss the matter he revealed he was the one who instructed her no. He was unsympathetic and made no apologies. There are tons of other great places within walking distance of Taste to have brunch. Zest on 54th and Monon is where I went that day. more

Great Food, but Horrible Seating Problems 4/13/2008

Taste has great food. Everything is fresh, relatively healthy, and made to order. However, Taste has one of the worst seating systems I have ever witnessed. Pros: Excellent food. Cons: Manager is unprofessional, seating and service needs to be re-evaluated. more

the food was ok...the wait was terrible...not a good place to go if you have and hour or less for lunch...the food and the wait took way to long more
