Target - Newburgh 12/24/2006

This store is surprisingly efficient and not too crowded right before the Christmas holiday!! They have an excellent selection of everything, just like you've probably come to expect of them. I somehow left the store without an item I had purchased. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it until the store had closed. When I called the next day, they said if I brought my receipt, they could look up the security camera view of me leaving the register and then replace the item. I went into the store, and customer service didn't give me any problem, just had me get the item, bring it to them, and bagged it, no problem! While I struggled to find fun gifts in the city, Target came through with a gift idea for everyone on my list, great for last-minute shopping!! more

New Target is a boon for Newburgh 4/2/2006

Target has finally come to Newburgh! The new store opened in the old Ames Plaza on Route 17K roughly a month ago, and the parking lot and store have been jammed ever since. This store is preferable to the nearby Wal Mart and KMart, in my opinion. Not only do they have more fashionable and cheap clothing options, they also have a limited grocery selection at very fair prices (including the Lean Cuisines I like to bring to work for lunch), high quality housewares, and a great book, CD and movie selection. The bonus with the new Target is that, instead of the fast food stands they installed in older stores, they now have a Starbucks at the front of the store. I can't think of a better way to spend my money and a free afternoon! It is about time that Newburgh have the good retail offerings that are available in Poughkeepsie and Middletown. We have just as many people living around here and most of us do not want to drive up Route 9 or Route 84 to do our shopping. more

Target 4/1/2006

Wow!!! What a refreshing change this new Target makes to the downtrodden, over crowded "super" Walmart. I have never been so surprised in a department store, as I was when I was shopping in Target and was asked by no less than 3 staff if I needed assistance. I was very happy with the entire experience and would highly recommend this location. more
