Nice, small busy and cosy spot. Food is great. Wine is good. Open kitchen. Good place to eat dinner.

Worst Brunch Spot Around.. 8/23/2011

Me and my friends heard big things about table 6 and were excited to try it. Much to our disappointment, the food was mediocre, the ambience was awful (blaring loud band that we had to scream over) and it was about 85 degrees in there (no ac). Waste of time and money! If you're looking for a great brunch, try Second Home in Cherry Creek or Snooze. more

T6 forever 9/23/2010

This place has style and food to match! I love this place, the food and staff is great! It has been a favorite of mine since it opened, I think I was the first person in the moring they started brunch. If you haven't been you are missing out! more

Like nothing I'd ever tasted before! (And I've been around) 8/18/2010

Wonderful, tasty, wholesome food! Every single sauce that was poured over my dish was perfectly balanced with a long list of ingredients - and every ingredient I could taste! I had a lovely experience here. My husband and I enjoyed an evening of delicate food, lovely atmosphere (exposed brick walls and candles on tables), and an attentive waitress with impeccable timing. Wine was delicious, too. This really could not have been better. It is more pricey than your average restaurant but make sure you visit Table 6 for special occasions! more

A delicious gem! 3/12/2010

Table 6, after five visits over two years, has consistently excellent seasonal food and wonderful service without any pretension. The staff has been there for a while, so they know what they're doing. The location is sweet and sophisticated. The price is right. I go to this warm, inviting restaurant when I want fine dining but don't want pretentious foodie talk. Pros: great food and wine, kind and competent service Cons: none come to mind more

Very Disappointing 2/25/2010

Ate there last night during 5280 restaurant week. The food was nasty and barely edible and the portions were miniscule. I had the dinner entree of potato dumplings in a mushroom broth. There were 2 tiny dumplings ad 2 tiny mushrooms in about 1/2 cup of broth. This was not an appetizer, but the main dish. It was not even tasty. The tiny dumplings were like rocks. This restaurant's food quality is certainly not worth the price. The service was bad, very slow. We will not be back. Pros: Atmosphere Cons: Bad Food, Bad Service more

Irrationally over-priced and very little portion 12/19/2009

If you think the Table 6 restaurant at the corner of Corona and 6th Ave in Denver a small, cozy, local/family place, think again. This is what I thought when I first went to this place. It was indeed very small, a little crowded even when not many customers were dining inside. Forks and knives were laid on the bare tables – not on a table sheet or napkin (I cleaned my forks with a napkin before using). So far I still thought this was just one of the other many local restaurants until I saw the menu. The menu was a piece of printed green paper. The appetizers were around $8-$10, and the entrees were mostly over $20. I didn't start with an appetizer since the waiter told me they were very “tiny” portion. I didn't quite understand what his “tiny” mean until I saw my $23 entree. When I looked at the little food, sitting lonely in the middle of the plate, my first thought was – this is an entree dish or a food sampler? The taste was ok, especially when it cost two dollars per bite. But I was still hungry after finishing my little food in 5 minutes. The guy sitting in the next table finished his little food in about the same amount of time, and also looked hungry – how could he not be, I am a small-sized person with normal appetite, and I still had to have another meal back home after this costly dinner. So if you are like me who doesn't get used to spend $50 on a single meal, doesn't want to feel humiliated and get the “cheap” look from your waiter for not ordering from the wine menu, and simply needs a normal portion of food to feed your stomach, then avoid this place. But if you have so much money and don't know how to waste it, and are willing to spend on very irrationally over-priced ordinary food, you may give a try. But here is another thought, why not donate the $ to local schools? more

I'll be going back to Table 6! 11/22/2009

Some friends and I just happened to walk by this restaurant on our way to find a place to eat and decided to stop in. Am I glad we did! This place is a true gem! The food was devine and perfectly prepared. Our waitress was friendly, patient, really took the time to explain all the dishes without making it seem like she was rushed to get on to the next table. She also recommended a wine that was outstanding! We felt pampered by the service and really enjoyed all the dishes. We took her recommendation and shared a couple appetizers and a couple entrees. Everything was just fantastic. Truly, you need to try this place. Take your wife or significant other here for a special night out, you won't regret it. Pros: Awesome food, excellent wine, fantastic service Cons: Don't really have a con more

Unique and funky 1/7/2009

I miss living on Corona and being able to walk over to Table 6...the food is really innovative and interesting and the service is generally spot on. In the years I have been going there, I have only had one bad experience, which was remedied when I wrote the owner the next day. And, I had the best glass of wine I've ever had there, a French white, about 2 years ago. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for and in this case, that means attention to detail. I'm not always wowed by the strange combinations (popcorn with caramel and shrimp??) but overall, the menu changes enough to always warrant a return. Plus, the butter studded with Hawaiian pink salt is very addictive. Pros: Revolving, seasonal menu, interesting wines more

Great food and atmosphere, cozy little place great for dates 11/9/2008

Small place, very cozy, great for dates or small groups. This place was packed even on a Sunday night, which speaks to how great the food is. Try the soup - the combination of flavors is very different, but amazing. Love the crusty bread with butter and salt. Coffee tastes amazing and is served in little french presses - goes great with the chocolate beignets, which could be the best tasting dessert ever. Very clean, has a neighborhood feel. Highly recommend. Pros: great food and ambience Cons: a bit pricy more

Great atmosphere, very cozy & warm, excellent service 10/11/2008

A new favorite Denver restaurant. Limited menu, but not a drawback at all. Very tasty! They offer a 'scrumptious' wine of the day & priced at $8 per glass. They serve my favorite coffee: Novo. Pros: cozy atmosphere, reasonable portions, high quality Cons: reservation needed-limited seating more

Simply a great place! 4/16/2008

The food is always excelenet, have never had a bad dish. The service is awesome - friendly & helpful. If you have not been this is a great spot for a date for sure. I would go to this place everyday if I could afford it. Pros: Amazing food & service Cons: little pricey more

Disappointing Experience 12/1/2007

After a disappointing experience, I will never return nor recommend this restaurant. The food was not as exciting as others describe and the service left much to be desired. First a host staff who seems to selectively chose to ask patrons to hang their coats. Ours were not taken, despite the fact they were long and draped to the floor on the back of our chairs. Our waiter seemed more interested in upping our tab to ensure a good tip than genuine, good service. To top it off, we were asked to vacate our table for the people ""biting at their knuckles to be seated"" despite the fact we were not even through with our wine---a terrible disappointment for such a trendy,""classy"" restaurant. A user on 11/30/07 wrote about a similar experience. The friend I was dining with had also experienced a rude hostess on a prior occasion (during a business dinner). more

Best American Cuisine 11/30/2007

One of the most original places in town. Yes, they are small and there is no way to get a quit table. Once you have paid and see people waiting for this amazing food, it is polite to get up and move to the bar to finish your coffee or if you have paid. All in all, it is a cozy, wonderful, family and friends experience at table 6. The food amazing, the wine wonderful, staff is like family. A neighborhood enjoying the wonderful cuisine of a community at large! Large and real, yes there are some complications on the weekends, but it is still one of the best places in Denver. It gives Denver some dynamic character that this city deserves. Pros: Great Food Great Wine List Cons: Nothing to say more

Good food, lousy service 11/30/2007

I have been to this restaurant twice, once on business and the other with a friend. The first time I was greeted promptly but when I asked for a quiet table, I was surprised by the tone of the response I received from the server who stated that she could not guarantee a quiet table as the restaurant is open and she can not predict the future. The second time, my girlfriend and I, not finished with our meal, were asked to move to the bar because there were people waiting to be seated. We frequent several restaurants in the Denver area as locals and could not believe the terrible service at this restaurant. Even though the food was mediocre, the service and the feeling we had leaving the establishment made the overall experience one we regret. We will not return to this restaurant. Pros: Environment Cons: Service, Price more

amazing 10/28/2007

Located a few blocks northwest of the Cherry Creek Mall, a modest storefront on the corner of a leafy residential street opens into the inviting space that is Table 6. Here on the 2 nights that we visited, the open kitchen (flanked by a simple bar and the seating area) turns out dish after well-thought out dish with minimal drama & fuss. Standouts were the roasted chicken (and its companion poached egg in a jalapeno cornbread ""nest"") and the duck confit, as well as a salmon special served with pasta and the most delicious pureed pistachio and lemon sauce. Deserts were remarkable (you probably haven't lived until a hot beignet has exploded its molten chocolate contents in your mouth), and matched with an unusual selection of desert wines & ports, on a par with the excellent wine list. Overall an excellent and well valued choice for dinner away from the usual Cherry Creek crowds more

Our Absolute FAVORITE Denver restaurant 2/20/2007

My fiance and I have been to Table 6 3xs now - first for his birthday, then when he proposed and lastly for Valentine's and every time has been fabulous! There are so many expensive restaurants in the Cherry Creek/ Capitol Hill area and this one by far is worth every penny.\r The key to getting a good table and no waiting at Table 6 if it's for less than 6 people is to get there around opening. \r Our service every time was helpful and informative. \r The food is always scrumptious? the combinations of flavors they come up with are so creative. I had veal breast in a tomato-based sauce with ravioli and basil? it was all so fresh and flavorful! Every appetizer we?ve started with and dessert we?ve ended with makes our mouths water and stomachs ultra-satisfied! \r For every special occasion we go to Table 6! Pros: Superb food, service and atmosphere. Cons: Crowded if get there at prime dining hours. more

delicious halibut 11/21/2006

great food, great service. they were out of the duck both times we visited, so i really want to try that dish next time. very knowledgeable staff, and excellent service. more

Horrible experience horrible service horrible food 9/27/2006

A group of friends met for dinner one night at Table 6. We had terrible service...waited for OVER 20 minutes to give a drink order, received cold food...then had to ask for silverware...and on top of it all had a waitress with an attitude.\r \r I was expecting so much more given several other reviews...we won't be returning...I am happy to give my money to a staff that actually provides service...not attitude. Cons: service, food, wait staff more

It's been a while since we've had anything this good 8/22/2006

My husband and I waited a long time before going to Table 6, mainly because every time we drove by, it was packed to the gills and we were starving. We attributed the popularity of the restaurant primarily to the Esquire write up it got a few years ago. Of course we thought it was probably deserving of good press, but there are so many stellar restaurants in Denver that we couldn't imagine that it was light years ahead of some of our other gems.\r Well, we finally got a chance to go. I couldn't believe it. It had literally been years since I'd had food that good in this city, and thats saying something. We started with an appetizer of mussels. They were very fresh and in a white wine/mustard sauce that was packed with flavor without being overpowering. I ordered the seared halibut with the green tomato hache and the red heirloom tartar. Not only was the fish fresh again but the two sauces were bold and livened up this delicate fish without destroying its clean flavor. My husband ordered the crisp duck confit, which he said was possibly the most expertly prepared duck he's ever had. I wouldn't know; I was so in love with my dish, I didn't think to ask for a taste of his. \r The waiter suggested wine to go with our appetizer and my husband's meal. I'm nine months pregnant, so I was abstaining. As a result, my husband was hesitant to get a whole bottle. The waiter suggested two wonderful choices from their respectable wine list for each of the dishes. They even poured a half glass to be served with the appetizer. My husband is a sommelier, and was very pleased with the recommendations the waiter made. \r All in all, I'm so thrilled we finally made it to Table 6. If I had to choose one adjective to describe the food here, it would be bold. With the limited space available to review on Citysearch, I can't really do this place justice. Suffice it to say that each taste of food was relished and we will absolutely be going back to experience more of Table 6. Pros: Some of the best food around, knowledgeable staff, respectable wine list Cons: Can tend to be crowded and no ressies, so go early or when you don't mind a wait more
