I joined because I live a minute away. Unfortunately their machines are always breaking -- the eliptical went down and stayed down for months. There was almost always a line to use it. I've had that problem with other machines there too. Plus the heat doesn't work some days in the winter and the air-conditioner doesn't work in the summer. Then it starts to smell. Pros: Not pretentious Cons: Broken machines, no heat in winter, no air-conditioning in summer. Smells. more

Synergy is the worst gym EVER!!!! 11/20/2008

This gym is the worst gym ever - staffed with lying thieves that do not honor their word or their contract. Don't take my word for it - check with the Better Biz Bureau of NYC and see how many people have complained about their tactics. GO ELSEWHERE! Pros: Nothing Cons: Everything more

No Frills Fitness - but it works for me 7/17/2002

This place has all the necessary equipment to get a great workout. But you're getting what you pay for here, which means a smaller gym, no professional help, no classes and slim locker room ammenities. Pros: location, inexpensive, boutique feeling Cons: staff, muscle head monopoly more
