Your Grandmother's Pastry 10/19/2005

The decoration of the pastry shop seems somewhat outdated when compared to some of its trendier neighbors. However, the Swiss Pastry Shop offers some of the best tasting delectables in the area. Cookies are definitely one of my favorite items there. Even though the pastries are not fancy, you find yourself walking through the doors every time you walk along street. It resembles the kind of goodness your grandmother would make. The only downfall is the inconsistent service I have received. more

The Swiss Pastry Shop on 19th Street is one of my personal favorites. The baked goods sold here are exceptionally yummy, and everything is very fresh. I like the cakes here, as they are actually baked on site. I think the breads are brought in by truck everyday. This place smells so nice when you come early in the morning. The staff are pleasant; they always greet you and wish you a nice day as you leave. I like how this bakery is clean, too. I would come here more often if their prices were a little lower, and if I lived closer. more

Fantastic cakes! 10/3/2005

The Swiss bakery is very close to my office and we always order our cakes from the Swiss bakery for office parties and celebrations. The cakes are very light and they are so good. They have many different flavor combinations to choose from. They also make amazing cookie and pastry trays. more

Good european style cake/cookies 8/14/2005

It took me a while to find a good bakery that sells european style pastries. I grew up in Europe and have different expectations than most people here when I purchase pastry or birthday cake. Swiss pastry has never disappointed me in taste and the people working in the bakery are very knowledgeable of their products. more
