Best

Fresh, best tasting, price, friendly sushi makers, the best place in town! Pros: Out of this world experience Cons: A little out of the way

Worst

My family and I have been to Sushi Time several times over the past couple of years, but have noticed some changes recently that are disappointing. One thing that hasn't changed ...

Bad Service, Bad Food 7/29/2011

The service is always rushed. I have ordered several times, taking it to go because I have my daugher with me. They rush me, and don't talk to me much when I have my daughter. \r I have ordered when I am by myself, I get better service. \r The fish does not taste fresh. In fact, I ordered a roll one time and it tasted like a tuna sandwich. If I wanted a tuna sandwich I would have just made one myself instead of paying $15.00 for sushi. \r Not worth the price, or time. more

Great place, Great Sushi 12/16/2009

Fresh, best tasting, price, friendly sushi makers, the best place in town! Pros: Out of this world experience Cons: A little out of the way more

Best Sushi in Reno!! 12/16/2009

They serve the best sushi in Reno. I have tried them all and they are by far the best. With a friendly staff of sushi chefs, they serve the freshest and the tastiest there is....and no MSG! Pros: Fresh, price, no time limit Cons: the place is a little small more

Worst sushi in Reno! I still can't get the bad taste of r0tten fish out of my mouth 6/23/2008

I have eaten here twice and will NEVER go back. The first time I ate here the sushi was mediocre, but the steamed green mussels were good. It is the closest sushi place to my house so I told 8 of my friends we should go there one afternoon. Now I will NEVER go back. The sushi was again mediocre at best. The service was horrible and everytime they brought us our food they reminded us that if we didn't finish it (because it was all you can eat) we would be paying for each individual piece we didn't consume. To top it off they started bringing us Mackrel sushi which we did not even order. When they brought us the bill they tried to charge us extra for the Mackrel that we didn't eat (why would I want to eat bait fish?) After arguing with the manager they finally agreed to take it off the bill. So none of us will ever be back there again. The worst part is we were forced to pay gratuity for the horrible service because it was a party of 8+. Pros: The steamed green muscles are pretty good, but this is supposed to be a sushi restaurant. Cons: Horrible sushi and horrible service. more

GReat Place for sushi but woudn't recommend bringing Kids at. 3/20/2008

A great sushi place definitely because they have rolls that other sushi places don't have. Very innovative, however, not very kid friendly. They will discourage you to sit by the bar when you have kids and if you insist, waitress will give you attitude. This is given the fact that you told them that your child will be sitting on your lap and will be paying for his share of sushi too. Also, one more thing, they REALLY keep an eye on you eating the rice of your sushi. They make sure you eat EVERYTHING!!!! If you don't,they ask you if you didn't like it or that you will be charged as ala carte and not all you can eat. I am very much aware of the ""eat even the rice sushi"" but i'm talking about one piece of rice ball here and the attitude thay they give when they tell you that is terrible. Everyone will hear! more

Good Food but at What Price? 1/27/2008

My family and I have been to Sushi Time several times over the past couple of years, but have noticed some changes recently that are disappointing. One thing that hasn't changed is the ""name a price"" game by the owner. The pricing is never the same. When we go, we have learned to expect a $2-3 fluctuation in the pricing. We paid $15.95 for just one lunch - which seems high. The chef was nice and made some good rolls, but when we went to use the restroom, the switch plate was crusted with greasy dirt and the ficus tree leaves allowed me to inscribe a message it was so dusty. We also noticed supplies on chrome shelves stored in the dining area which seems unsanitary. It's not bad, but seems overpriced and could be cleaner which is so critical for a restaurant handling raw fish. Pros: Variety of Long Rolls Cons: Cleanliness and Varying Pricing more

Very good place. 5/28/2006

Sushi Time gives exactly what people want in an All You Can Eat Sushi establishment. Not too much rice and not too small pieces of fish. The food has a lighter feel to it in comparison to most of the other places in town. You get to experience more for your money. They also have a number of special rolls that are great. Pros: Price, Quantity, Quality Cons: Location, Non-Sushi Offerings more

it's not that good 11/30/2005

My husband and I heard that this restaurant served better sushi than other sushi restaurnats. But we didn't think Sushi Time serve better sushi. The most disappointing thing about sushi at this restaurant was that the fish was sliced too thick. It was about twice as thick as it was supposed to be sliced. We were very suprised how this chef could serve sushi if he didn't even know how to slice the fish. My husband can slice fish better than the chef. And also the portion of sushi rice was too small. Anyways, it was not worth driving to Sparks to eat sushi at this praticular restaurant. Pros: Clean Cons: Small more
