As a big lover of Indian cuisine, I will say my introduction started with Surya, which is more of a fusion style. Everything about this restaurant is the anti-thesis of traditional Indian cuisine and decor, but it works. The lounge area in the front is swanky, candle lit, and makes a great backdrop while you sip your cocktails. The music is this cool ambient/house kind and just sweeps you away into a "I'm ready to go out" vibe.
In the same open space, you can have the same dishes as you would in a traditional restaurant, like Lamb Saag, but it won't be half as greasy and will have the chef's personal touch added to it. Whether you're eating indoors or outdoors in their garden, Surya truly is special.
