really beautiful salon, right on the corner of 34th st... theres so many salons in my area but after trying every single one i settled on sundaze. they are the cheapest...yet the salon is the most high end ive seen in the area. Ironic huh? great selection on lotion..... clean..... premium beds are amazing more

Great Place to Tan 11/7/2009

I have been going to Sundaze Tanning for a few years and think it's the best tanning salon in NY. I recommend it to everyone I know. The staff is super friendly and super helpful (they take great care in explaining to newcomers the complete range of tanning options that they offer) and the cost is extremely affordable compared to other salons in the city. They keep the beds and the salon very clean and there is always a relaxed, comfortable vibe if you have to wait for a bed (which is not very often!) A big thumbs up for Sundaze Tanning. more

Sundaze Tanning is hands down my favorite tanning salon in all of NYC! I live way downtown in Battery Park City and I still make the journey all the way uptown to this salon. It is relatively inexpensive, they offer amazing packages. It has the best beds because the bulbs are changed regularly therefore they are always strong. The staff is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable It is super clean and has a very chill atmosphere. My experience everytime I tan is great one because it feels like I am visiting an exclusive high end spa. I strongly recommend this place!!! :) Pros: Great prices, awesome customer service Cons: None! more

This is the best tanning salon I have ever been to. The beds are great and have a large variety to choose from, Stand up, beds, and different levels so that you can maintain your tan. They have the best lotions for you to choose from and have my favorite bronzer available. They were very helpful when they ran out of my shade in this midtown location; they had someone from another salon bring it over for me so that I can pick it up the next time I was there. The staff is so friendly and kind. I have actually become friends with some and it gives it a homey feeling. Pros: Clean atmosphere, friendly staff and wonderful products more

Great Place to Tan 10/23/2009

I love this salon and am very happy that it's so close to my work. They have this Silver Bullet machine you could use just once in two weeks and stay pretty tanned. This is the only place where and my friends were given the best advice as for tanning, session time, choosing the right tanning lotion and the Russian receptionist is the friendliest, most competent ever, seeing to it even that you wear the little glasses for tanning. Clean, friendly & accessible for students 10/16/2009

I moved to NYC two years ago from a small town and being used to really cheap prices for tanning, I was worried I wouldn't be able to keep my tan because I couldnt afford to... however I came to Sundaze which is absolutely gorgeous and always kept really clean, and the staff offered me cheap prices on top of a student discount. not to mention I actually have time to go because they're open so late, I can get here even after my later classes. the staff is personable and the atmosphere is very classy. i'm lucky to have found sundaze tanning :) more

there is an online special that says new costumers tan for free and one of the other coupons says the coupon must be presented. because i am here only for the summer in a dorm, i do not have a printer, and because this coupon did not say it needed to be presented, i did not print it out. the woman, however, would not honor it and was rude about it. more

a salon with some class!! 2/20/2009

I frequent many salons in the city. I hadn't been to Sundaze in a while and I stopped in for a quick tan because I was nearby and it was awesome! I was in shock to see the salon was gorgeous! It was so chic and I loved the decor.. There are new owners who have completely revamped everything. The new equipment was incredible and they gave me a card to try the airbrush and the girl who did it was great she has blonde hair and she's tall.. i made this the salon of my choice and they even have another location on 34th st where I can use the tans I bought at 56th st location. more

Though not a posh salon, the staff is friendly and helpful without being the least bit pushy. Scheduling is efficient and the beds are spotless. A great, no-hassle value. more

Great Tanning Find! 11/30/2004

Compared to other midtown tanning places, this has great promotional packages - often $7 to $10 cheaper per tan than other places. BRAND NEW tanning beds that are strong! more
