Sullivan County Clerk 12/31/2005

I was not very impressed with the welcome we received when visiting the clerk's office on a genealogical history trip. The staff were not very willing to allow us to view the archives and after a long drive we were almost turned away. It took much protest but we were finally allowed in. There we found other people viewing the records. I am not sure why such a cold reception but at least we obtained the information we sought. I recommend you call in advance to make arrangement for viewing. more
