Mandy is a Gem 4/16/2009

Good: Mandy's haircuts are perfect for me, my husband, my daughter and my two young granddaughters, and we all have different hair and ideas of how we want to look. Mandy does it all, professional, pleasant and cooperative. The shop is unusual, but fun, the other stylists seem to be doing good work, too. The prices are reasonable for the quality of service, and there is no tipping. Make your appointments early. more

Deirdre came in early to fit me in for a haircut on a Saturday and she was really friendly! My hair turned out great--she did it exactly how I explained I wanted it. more

Amazing Experience! 1/6/2009

My studio galactica experience with Deirdre was amazing! I have had my hair cut and colored at many of the different upscale salons in bellingham and never have I had a better cut and color combination than with Deirdre! She listened to what I like, and helped make suggestions to get the look I am going for. I have never had a haircut grow out as well or gotten more complements on my color. Several of my friends and coworkers have gone to Deirdre as well with great results! Overall, I will never go anywhere else. more

The Very Best! 10/17/2006

I have hair that is sometimes straight, sometimes very curly. Georgia is super-fantastic! She knew exactly what to do with my hair when I wanted it short, even though I was having difficulty describing exactly what I wanted. She was fast; I've seen her twice now, and each time was less than half an hour. Also, they are a flat-rate no tip salon so there is never any pressure or mystery in terms of $$! more

Excellant Hair Color, funky atmosphere! 9/11/2005

Studio Galactica bills itself as a "Rock'n'Roll" salon; it's decorated in bright pink and black tiger stripes in the mail part of the salon, and has a room entirely colored in silver foil (yes, it does look cool!). Despite the youngish look of the salon, the staff are all top notch. Mandi, the owner of the salon, is incredibly talented at coloring hair and figuring out a flattering cut. The salon is very low key, with no sales pitch to buy their salon products and the pricing is reasonable. I have very long hair and typically leave with a full foil, 2 colors, and a trim for under $100. more
