People want my hair 2/5/2011

I'm not trying to brag, but I have gone to Derek at Studio 510 for 7 years and he has made my hair look amazing every single time. I often get stopped by strangers who compliment my beautiful hair. The blonde highlights that he does are so natural looking people don't realize they are highlights. My hair is down to my lower back, and his cut keeps it looking incredibly healthy. more

Best High Lights of My Life!!!!! 1/26/2011

I was sooo bummed when my stylist moved out of town until I found Derek at Studio 510!!!! I went in for a root touch up on my high lights and left looking like a different person! He updated my high lights so they are no longer streaky and he tweaked the color to flatter my skin tone much more! I have never been so happy with my hair before! Even better the salon is really cool looking and everyone who works there is very friendly!! more

Considering I've gone to 510 for 5 years...starting with Derek reeling me in a long time ago, I can't recommend it enough. It's nice to have a decent salon that is so laid back- I could hang there for hours... more

Nice Place 3/14/2010

I was very sad to see that Jackie had left the salon, she always made the environment fun and relaxing. Lizette is a great stylist, she really listens and is so much fun. I would skip the skin care with Luna though, she talks too much and her services are below average. Pros: Great hair. Great service Cons: Skincare was not the best. more

A wonderful experience 9/21/2009

I recently visited the lovely salon and left very happy. My hairstlylist Irina listened, and then gave me exacly the haircut and color I wanted. After visiting various salons in south tampa, and not being too impressed with any of them, Studio 510 was a truly wonderful experience! Pros: I got exactly what I wanted more

OVERPRICED !!! 1/17/2009

This place is so overpriced I felt like I was robbed after I left this place. I tried out majority of places on this website and this was the most expensive place i went to. The atmosphere was not that great, the guy kept talking to other hairstylists and not paying attention to his customer. He made me feel stupid too trying to sell me very bad conditioner that I already tried... for 35 bucks when I paid 8 dollars for it somewhere else. CMON !!! Pros: nothing Cons: expensive, show-offs, don't listen, too lazy, no respect for customer more

Services Above & Beyond 12/9/2007

Last weekend, I phoned Studio 510 and asked if they provide hair services to patients at the nearby hospital. The receptionist was uncertain, but willing to check. Within five minutes they called me back and said someone (Irina) would be there in the afternoon to wash and cut my mother-in-law?s hair. After spending nearly two months in the hospital, my mother-in-law was delighted, to say the least, to see Irina at her door. Irina, with her skillfulness and kindness, gave my mother-in-law the treatment she needed to overcome an otherwise dreadful stay at the hospital. THANK YOU ALL at Studio 510 for lifting our spirits during such a stressful time in our lives. more

Save your money 12/4/2007

When I went there a few months back I had asked for a body wave or very large curls. I have had this done a long time ago at a different salon and it came out great. I specifically told the lady I did NOT want a tight spiral perm and that I just wanted some large curls or waves. I was nervous right away when she used small rollers and left the solution in as long as you would for a spiral perm. I got exactly what I didn't want-spiral curls. She assured me they would loosen in a couple days when I washed it. I actually washed it the next day even though I wasn't supposed to and my hair still looks like a mop. The salon itself is really nice and upscale. The other stylists seem to do hair really well and trendy. So I may just try someone different next time. more

Not so Happy 8/26/2007

I can't believe I just spent $250 on a color and cut that looks this bad. I asked for caramel highlights and got something resembling an eggplant, but lighter. Would not recommend. more

Ask for IRINA to do Your hair!!! 1/24/2007

If you want modern hair cut or style and the BEST highlights, then IRINA is your girl! She did my hair many times and its perfect every time, just the way I want it, people always compliment me on my hair, Thanks to Irina. Salon it self, is a pretty nice place with friendly staff. I recommend. more

studio 510 is an amazing salon. everytime i go thier i have so much fun and awsome hair results. the staff is so nice to u and they always offer u a drink which is cool. Irina is the best!!! she does awsome high lights and incredible up-do's! she did my hair for a wedding and it was so unique and beautiful!! just awsome experience everytime im thiere!! more

Anna Maria Rocks!!! 10/22/2006

I just moved to Tampa from San Francisco, tried another salon, and was convinced I needed to move back to California. Then, I went to Studio 510 and saw Anna Maria. She's the BEST!!! She told me exactly what I needed to do with my color and conditioning routine. She has been a savior ever since. Everyone I have talked to in there has been incredibly friendly and complimentary, and from what I have seen, anyone should feel comfortable with any of the stylists. more

Ana Lisa is Great!! 5/19/2006

I had moved to Tampa from Atlanta and had tried out several places only to be very let down until I was recommended to Ana Lisa by a co-worker with great hair. I tried her out and have been religously using her for the last 5 years. She does great ""believable blonde"" foil hi-lites and great cuts that keep shape until my next appointment. I always get compliments on my hair, and most of the people that I work with frequent Ana Lisa and the salon. The product line is, atmosphere and location are all great. I would recommend the salon and Ana Lisa to anyone. Pros: Ana Lisa, Atmosphere, Product line more
