The Stockbridge, from the outside looks like a decent building or place to live, but dont be fooled. There is many things wrong with this building, and that have been that way for years without repair, and if you ever lived here you would be able to contest to these issues. There is no working intercom system in this 5-story building, that has 2 secure doors that one must enter to get in. There is absolutely no way for a person coming to visit you to let you know they are down at the front door. There is black mole in the dirty, smelly basement of back bldg. that everyone that parks in the rear parking lot must pass thru, water leaks throughout the bldg, dirty elevator that sometimes stops a foot below the floor, the floor in the main hallway on 1st. flr has a large section of missing tiles. PARKING LOT IS NOT SAFE AT ALL, many cars have been broken into, windows busted, cars damaged and there are serveral abandoned cars in the lot, the parking lot gate has been broken many of time and only works half of the time. The new, so called manager of the building, known as ""Ms. Pittman"", has gotten in to arguments with nearly every tenant in the building, she is never in the office or can't be reached on the office phone during normal business hours, she has been witnessed stealin tenates mail out of their mail boxes from the maile room which only the postal carrier and herself has a key to. Maintance request go unrepaired beyond a reasonalbe amount of time. Technically, with all of the many known issues and even some of the unknown this building is definately in violation of many housing codes. Please be advised to this review and if you just want a safe, clean, normal place to live, then this is not the place. And, yes i understand that this is not supposed to be like the Taj Mahal or the Ritz Carlton Hotels, but the average cities metropolitan housing units are probrably better than here.
Pros: location is centrally located to downtown and other areas of city
Cons: ambience, parking, security, cleanliness, unfriendly and poor management
