From planning and coordinating our long-distance move, to the pick-up and drop-off, all went as smoothly as one could hope for. The Owner, Office Manager and movers were courteous, prompt and consistently communicated with us throughout the process. Our boxes and furniture were in good condition upon their arrival after being stored with Sterling, excluding our electric piano which had some loose screws. Although we didn't pay for the additional insurance, one of the movers kindly brought out his tools and fixed the piano stand like new. I would highly recommend using Sterling Movers & Storage if you're seeking to work with a company with a professional staff, that offers a competitive price, and employs movers that treat your possessions with care. more

Had No Idea Who to Use! 4/25/2012

I had no idea who to use for my move last month. I went online and was searching moving companies. I read reviews and went to websites. Eventually, I decided to use Sterling because I felt most confident in their abilities while speaking with them. They were careful and accomodating to my requests. I would recommend them to anyone! Good move 3/19/2012

I used Sterling Moving after some research and also a friend had used them and gave a glowing reference. My experience every step of the way was great. My rep Stefan gave me a fair quote and arranged my move. The movers were delightful and worked hard. Everything was in my new place and set up quickly. I will certainly recommend Sterling to everyone. more

Reliable and consistent 3/7/2012

I’m constantly moving from NY to CA and back again. I moved with these guys twice now and both times the move went very smoothly. They pack everything really well and nothing was damaged on either move. I been extremely happy with their service both times and I’ll recommend them to my family and friends. more

Quality Moving 3/5/2012

I had to relocate for work from NYC to Philly. My whole experience with Sterling was very positive; most of all the movers were awesome. They were on time worked at a brisk pace, but demonstrated the up most care. They diligently wrapped all my furniture and packed up my TV’s and sound system. I will be returning to NYC next year and will certainly be using Sterling for my move when the time comes. more

Fast and helpful 3/5/2012

These guys were fast and great. They even helped me set up my Ikea bed which is a total hassle. They also boxes my lamps for me which I had not packed myself. And the final cost was exactly what they quoted and I was sure there would be some surprise cost. I would recommend Sterling Movers to anyone planning to move. more

Excellent 1/12/2012

I moved with sterling last week and was very satisfied with my experience. The crew was excellent and worked tirelessly to move my 3 bedroom apartment and get the job done before my buildings 4pm cut off time. Moving on the whole is stressful and inconvenient at best, this time was definitely the smoothest move I have made. There have been too many! more

No regrets going w/ Sterling - moving is stressful but hiring Sterling made it easy. I shopped around for movers and this is the mover I decided I could trust. They moved me in the time they quoted and I even received a courtesy call after the move to see how everything went! I moved from a 5th floor walk-up on Wall Street to a co-op on the Upper East Side in April 2011. The movers arrived on time and were fast, professional and most importantly, careful w/ all my stuff. One guy packed, another guy carried stuff from the apt to the middle landing and handed off to a third guy on the bottom landing assembly line fashion. They packed all my hanging clothes (they used 6 boxes w/ a rod for all my hanging clothes), used a mattress cover to protect it from getting dirty, and also wrapped up my furniture w/ padding. Everything arrived undamaged w/o a scratch, including my leather furniture as well as my flimsy Ikea wardrobes that had mirrored doors. Be sure to provide bottled water for the movers (these guys work hard) and a tip to give to the foreman. more

From the first communication, these guys were super professional, reasonable, efficient, conscientious, direct and helpful. My main contact Stefan was on top of absolutely everything and after talking to a few other local companies I knew i wanted to use Sterling. The crew was so fast and organized and it could not have been smoother or easier. Don't even think about using anyone else for your NYC move! more

Excellent Movers! 10/6/2010

Excellent movers! To the relief of all of our friends, we hired professional movers- Sterling Movers- and we're so glad we did. I was completely blown away by how fast and careful they were. They arrived on time and had us packed up (which they did WAY better than we would have) and moved into our new place within 4 hours, with absolutely no hassle. They were so nice that we actually missed them when the move was over. All in all, a really great experience. more

This is the first time I have used pro movers and the guys at sterling moving were impressive. They packed and moved my 1 bedroom apartment in record time. The movers themselves were polite, efficient and careful. I got a good rate for the move and the low stress factor was priceless. So i had to move kind of quickly and was referred to Sterling. They made an awful process almost seem enjoyable. First, the estimate was very fair and did not change as the process went on--no tricks or hidden fees. The guys were all very nice and professional. They'll pack your stuff for you--which saved me tons of time. As for the move itself, it was pretty much flawless. Nothing broken, no scrapes on the walls, nothing. Just in and out, very very easy. Excellent Team!! 11/27/2009

Our move came as a surprise. We were informed on Sunday that our closing on our Manhattan apt was the upcoming Monday. Anybody who knows Manhattan co-ops understands that means you have to be OUT on Friday before the closing. Monday, my Father died. I was a wreck. The Sterling team, Stefan, Attila, Eugene, Bobby, Charlie, Jerry and Costa were amazing! They took over and got us out in time. I lost track of my jewelry during the move and was very happily surprised that it arrived. (I had had worse results with other movers) These guys were terrific! After 5 days in storage, they delivered our apt to our new CT home and we are hiring them to move us out of storage! THANK YOU STERLING! Pros: Best Movers We Have EVER Used! Cons: No Cons more

Great New York Movers! 6/12/2009

I used Sterling Moving this past weekend to move my my apartment from the East Village to Chelsea. I didn't think that I had that much to move but was suprised how much we fit into our small East Village Apartment. They were completely understanding and really helpful! All furniture was wrapped and treated with care and everything got to my new home in perfect condition. Besides being professional they were also very fast. The movers and management were all courteous and helpful in fitting my moving schedule into theirs. I would definitely recommend using Sterling Moving, they were fantastic! Best Moving Company in the NYC area!! 4/8/2009

These movers were recommended to us by a friend, and they were awesome! They moved us out and into our new place in less than 3hrs. Nothing was damaged or broken. There were no surprise charges, kept to the estimate promised. And I found them the cheapest out of the other 3 companies that provided estimates. They made our moving day stress-free, which is an experience I have never had till now with moving. I have already given their name to several people and will continue to do so.
