Steak & Ale Restaurant

Today, July 2, we had dinner at this Steak and Ale and it was a very exasperating experience which left us with many complaints. 1. We ordered an appetizer and it was delivered with our meal after a lengthy wait. 2. My husband ordered the prime rib which he said was tender and flavorful but dry - they served au jus with it to compensate. 3. I ordered a sirloin pink with no red juice. My steak was under cooked with red juice before it was cut. I told the server (not our waiter) that I had ordered pink with red juice and he said it was not red juice. I cut it in half and it was red and a lot of red juice coming out of it. 4. The problem got serious as the server argued with me in a haughty manner that it was fine the way it was and if I sent it back all they would do is throw it on the fire a little longer and put it on a clean plate. His manner was very much out of line. I nicely insisted I wanted my steak as ordered and would like to speak with the manager. I can honestly say these words describe Steak & Ale Restaurants across Texas, and I'm very picky about restaurants and food service. Their food is always outstanding, the service very professional, and the ambiance is perfect for a romantic evening or a professional lunch. My entire family shares these sentiments. This is my very favorite restaurant, standing head and shoulders above all others. It still can't be beat for steak and lobster. It's a classic and should continue business just the way its been done for at least 30 years!
