I went to StayTuned to have a car stereo/satellite radio receiver installed that I received as a Christmas present. I made it clear beforehand what brand of car I had and brand of stereo. The representative on the phone said it would be no problem to install depsite the fact I did not purchase the stereo from them and they do it all the time. All told it cost me about $200 parts and labor to get everything installed. The only problem was that the plastic dash kit surrounding the head unit they had on hand did not conform to my dashboard and they said a new one had to be ordered and it would take about a week to get the part. I did not think it was a problem at the time and they said it would be no charge since I paid for everything already.
Fast forward two weeks later, when I was finally able to get an appointment. When I came in the rep had no service record of my car, no idea what I was talking about and claimed he never knew he had to order anything else. This was the same person I dealt with before and told me everything would be taken care of! Needles to say they fit me in and said they would make everything right and it would only take about 30 min. An hour and a half later, they came out and told me they did not have the right parts to make it work and would have to custom make a new assembly for my dash. It was going to cost me an additional $250 parts and labor for work they were supposed to have done on the first visit! I left very upset, found the piece I needed on-line for $12 and was able to complete the simple process on my own. This place is absolutely terrible and all they care about are show style customs, overcharging for shoddy work and no personal service. DO NOT GO HERE!
