My daughter has been going to that gym for 6 years (tumbling 2 years and cheer 4 years) I personally do not mind the coaches getting on to my daughter if she needs it. As quick as all of the coaches are to correct or yell at a kid...they are quicker to be there when they need something, to congratulate them, or hug them when they are upset. I do not pay for them to be her friend. As far as having to stay all day for a competition, you are right, but why would you not want to stay and support all the kids? Cheer is a team sport and support is what all the kids need. It has been proven, the louder the crowd, the better they do!! Cheer is a commitment and this is very known going into it. If you can't commit, don't do it. When your child wins a national or international jacket, it's a big deal to them and they quickly forget about all the ""yelling"" and quickly appreciate all the hours, dedication and hard work from themselves, the team and coaches.
