Inconsistent but great chill atmosphere! 5/16/2012

Stardust is a great hip and local coffee shop if you want to hang out and have a couple of drinks with friends or lovers. The prices and the preparation of your food is inconsistent but the hipster feel makes you overlook that as it seems to be part of the nature of the place. You can eavesdrop on conversations between local Full Sail filmmakers, Vegans, Artists, and Bikesters (not to be confused with ""bikers"" but the hipsters who ride their bikes to this slightly overrated coffee shop.) One great thing about this venue is that on Mondays it is the Farmer's Market night where local vendors come and sell organic whole foods and products. Not a whole lot of free samples but the vendors are very friendly. more

Horrible staff & owner 5/24/2011

I went there for three months. Every time I went there & ordered a double vodka it was a different price & pour! I was charged as little as $6 & to as much as $ 16! When I asked about this the staff became offended. I actually became the bad guy! What are they on there? Times are hard, my money is important to me. I want my moneys worth! The owner doesn't care, I emailed him. He sided with his employees. Hes getting rich. So, so what with a complaint. The place is a real rat hole dive that thinks its classy & cool. Beware of a employee named Emily, shes the worst one there!! more

If you don't go for wi-fi it is a great place. 6/20/2010

the joe was great if you like being served with the Winter Park attitude. If you advertise free wi-fi then why has it never worked??? I consider that to be one of its selling points (as advertised) and if it does not work, well it is not the only place in town with wi-fi for me so what is the point! Pros: none that I know of except they do have good coffee Cons: well you will find out more

Orlando needs more places like Stardust 1/27/2008

Since we moved to Orlando, we've been slowly discovering cool little place like Stardust. Dandelion, Drunken Monkey, White Wolf all fall in the same category, but Stardust also has a pretty decent collection of books and independent/foreign films. The food was quite good and if you like beer, you will definitely find something for you. Places like Stardust help create neighborhoods and gives us hope that there's more to Orlando than amusement parks. more

Coffee & Movies! YAY! 11/24/2007

Coffee and Movies, what a great combination! Two of my favorite things in one place. My sister took me to Stardust one night to rent movies. There is such a diverse movie selection! I love it. There's a bunch of indie films[which i absolutely adore]. The coffee there is also fabulous. When we were there I was also exposed to a wonderful band[which name escapes me..]. It's just a fun place to be. Pros: fabulous movie selection. great coffee. Cons: nothing comes to mind.. more

the best beer and the best films!!! 5/29/2007

stardust is a place where you can drink the best beer in town ( cough cough st. brenardus) and rent the best films. on a random night you might hear an amazing band and meet the most amazing people. the regulars are quirky and well as entertainging. stardust is definitly a place i frequent 4 out of the 7 days of the week!!!! more

Great Coffee, Great Neighborhood Hideaweay 3/27/2007

Mario Bava and a cup of java *yikes* 6/22/2005

Ahh, wonderful Stardust with your rows of velcroed documentaries, sleepers, foreign and guilty pleasure horror - how I love you! Certainly there is not a better cup of coffee in all of Orlando and for those who are embibers of the fermented they have some of the best ales around. Also, if you are like me then you probably like an accompaniment to your drink and they have some of the freshest sandwiches and salads, many are or are easily made vegetarian and vegan - a welcome find. Watch for poetry and live music some nights. more

Joe Meets Orlando 6/25/2002

and way better than meeting the volcano! Having lived in this community for quite some time, I used to frequent Stardust a lot. Some things have changed; the magazines are gone; and the wall of shame has been erased. However, the heart and soul still thrive inside. The best coffee I ever had was in a college town in Athens, Ohio until I stumbled into Stardust many years ago. The Cafe Mocha here is the best. Unfortunately, due to a heart condition I shouldnt have caffeine anymore, but I still sneak in one every couple of months. My girlfriend isnt a coffee drinker, but enjoys the teas here. I wouldnt say that I fit the mold of a typical patron, me in my Volvo S80 and Tommy shorts but the people dont seemed to mind. They just started serving food, but I havent tried anything yet. Pros: Best Coffee, Relaxful more

The Best in Town 6/12/2002

The coffee is good, but the videos the star of the show. I have never seen a video store with such a large and diverse collection- imagine a small room filled with French videos- and one for Spanish- videos from Eastern Europe!! This is a must see for any videophile. Pros: videos, coffee, biscotti Cons: coffee a bit pricey more
