My cousin had a 2-for-1 entree certificate for Stanford's. We originally went to the one in Lake Oswego, but the wait there was an hour and a half, so we decided to call the Lloyd Center one to see what the wait was there. We were told 30 minutes and when we got there, it actually ended up only being 10-15 minutes. Host staff was polite. Waiter was pretty good; always kept my glass full. My one complaint about the service was that our salads came literally 3 minutes before our food. By the time I was finished my salad, my pasta was lukewarm. Gross. Having worked in a restaurant before, timing is really not that difficult (especially when you are not that busy and our server was not that busy). You wait until the salads come out before you put the entree order in. Also when I overhear you telling the table next to me that you have worked at Stanford's for 3 years, there really is no excuse. The food itself was alright. My caesar salad was ordinaryt; except it had tons of cheese (shaved parmesan, but the pieces were the size of kraft singles...) and only two, yes TWO croutons. Really? A $6.50 salad with two croutons?!? Cost-cutting? Ridiculous. For my entree, I got the prawn fettucini. There were a lot of prawns in there, which is always nice because some places are really stingy with seafood. The sauce was pretty good and it also had tomatoes and asparagus. However, it was lukewarm and very oily at the bottom, which was disgusting. Even with the 2-for-1, the bill was expensive, but that is probably my own fault. If I ever went back to Stanford's, I would not get a salad because they are definitely not worth it. But I don't plan on going back. The bottom line: pricey and nothing special.
Pros: Polite staff, short wait on a Saturday night, parking, portions were a good size (not too big, not too small)
Cons: Overpriced for the quality, oily and lukewarm food, timing of service, ambience (mostly because of the other people eating there)
