Fresh ALL The Time!! 12/19/2005

The main downtown market has been at its current location since 1982. Used as a parking lot during the off-season, this quaint covered market still caters to all who crave freshness. From 167 open-air stalls, local growers offer items including apples, broccoli, eggs, honey, jellies, pumpkins, soaps, syrup, tomatoes and much more. Prices vary, since each grower is independently offering their proTducts to the public. There is no charge to browse, so come and browse as you never know what you will find!! more

Awesome Variety 9/27/2005

The St. Paul farmer's market has a great variety of fresh produce! I live in a smaller suburb so I always go to St. Paul for their selection. The vendors always have the freshest selection around town as well. I had a hard time finding it so you might want to get directions from someone who has been there before--but, it is worth the extra effort! Going to the farmer's market is a really good option for those who live in apartments or who do not have time to grow their own fresh produce. I stock up my supply here and go home a can it or freeze it. That way, my fresh produce can last all through the long winter months. more

Wonderful food and fair 8/20/2005

Live music and fresh food to find at the Saint Paul Farmer's Market. They have fresh foods and flowers grown in Minnesota for sale at a great price. They also have other items for sale such as soaps and other goods. All the items are locally grown or produced. Great place to bring the kids. more

Great Produce 8/19/2005

It should come as no surprise that the Saint Paul farmer's market is the best source for affordable produce in town. What did surprise me, however, is that the Saint Paul farmer's market is the best source for Asian produce in the entire midwest. (I don't think that I am exaggerating) Most of the farmers at the Saint Paul farmers market hail from Southeast Asia. Every Saturday morning they bring the most beautiful vegetables you have ever seen to Lowertown (For more dates and location checkout www.stpaulfarmersmarket.com). Make sure to try the Chinese and Thai eggplant and to buy a bunch of aromatic sweet Basil. Street parking is free (two hour limit) during the market, but you might have to park a few blocks away. Prominent signs throughout the city point the way to the market. more
