A classic barbershop! Great place, great cuts. 10/26/2010

The Squire is a classic barbershop with a small town feel. It's got a great location at Grand and Snelling too, right across from Macalester College! LOVE that area. (Student discounts, college folks!) The three barbers that work there are good guys who remember your name, tell jokes, chat, and make it a fun experience. No, they don't have the cheapest prices, but I go there for the atmosphere as much as the hair cut. It just feels comfortable there. I've had all three guys cut my hair at some point over the last 12-13 years or so, and they all do a great job, but Michael is the one I see regularly. He's outstanding. I recommend The Squire highly! more

The squire is a pretty good barber shop, perfect for guys who go to Macalester since it's right across the street. The barbers are nice, but if you are a guy with long hair, you should ask for Michael, the guy in the back. He'll talk your ear off but will take good care to give you a good layered haircut. more

Good barbershop 8/17/2005

I like The Squire and I’d suggest it to anyone. Unfortunately I can’t give many great reasons for you to go. The cuts are expensive (over $20) and they are not so much better than any other barber I’ve been too. What I like is that it is just a regular barbershop. They know your name, talk about sports, and cut your hair. The three guys who cut hair there are good fellows. If you live or work in the area, I’d recommend them. more
