Very Disappointing 10/9/2009

My wife and I went here before the Hartford Marathon. Although the atmosphere was nice, and the food tasty, the service was incredibly slow, and there was a bug in my wife's salad. We also had to insist on a refund for the salad, despite an obvious bug that the waitress agreed was gross. All told, it was pretty disappointing. bad service 12/7/2007

I went here with a group of friends a couple of years ago for our annual Christmas get together. We were seated promptly but it was downhill from there.Very Very slow service.Meals were brought out one or two at a time with a lot of time in between.Dishes were almost thrown on the table.Finally one of our group had a heated talk with the person in charge that night. Best downtown location with eclectic Italian & seafood dishes 6/23/2006

This is one of the best locations that will suit any occasion and any time. The service is impeccable. The food will satisfy the most discerning taste buds. Their pasta & pizza have a distinctive clean taste, a trademark of authentic Italian cooking that lets one indulge without feeling heavy afterwards. The fish was exquisite. The wine list provides interesting choices. I wish they were open on Sundays as well! By the way, parking garage is right there. Ask the staff to stamp a receipt to get a parking discount. Oh, don't forget to take a stroll to the riverfron afterwards (weather permitting). Pros: food, ambiance, service Cons: closed on Sundays more

My favorite 6/7/2005

Spris is one of my favorite restaurants in the greater Hartford area. I have never had a bad meal there. The pasta is to die for! Upstairs balcony area is a great place to have a celebration. more
