Spring Fitness

DO NOT JOIN SPRING FITNESS!!!!!! Do not join the 2920 location! The childcare area doesn't have working air conditioner, and it has moldy ceiling tiles and dirty carpet. They use a box fan to keep the kids "cool". After 3months of dealing with this issue with no resolution, and my oldest daughter complaining about being hot, and picking up my 16month old with red cheeks from being hot I asked to be let out of my contract. Ron the general manager who I had been in communication with about the issues since it started in July became very unprofessional and even confronted my oldest daughter who is 5 about the situation making her feel scared and uncomfortable. Ron then became aggressive with me. The gym did however find the money to buy a new mixed martial arts ring. They clearly state in their advertisement that they provide free childcare with their memberships. What they don't state is that it doesn't have proper air conditioning, and is a breeding pool for bacteria. The air conditioner went out in July, and still is not fixed as of October 20. They continue to refuse to let me out of my contract. Instead offering me to do a buy out of over $400! more

This gym is absolutely horrible. I signed up knowing that I have a disability and I was pregnant. I have trouble standing for long periods of time and walking far, but I need to get exercise. I knew there was a high possibility with the pregnancy and health issues I may have to get out of my contract. They promised it wouldn't be a problem and even wrote it on the contract. I ended up having a miscarriage and had to get off a lot of my meds so I could no longer work out. It has taken me over a month back and forth with the spring fitness and headquarters to get my membership cancelled. They keep charging me and I have spent hours filling out all the information. I would never recommend this place nor will I ever go back. The assistant manager, Todd Spell, keeps saying he is upset with the corporate office and gives open promises. Then when I call the next week he changes his promises on getting my money back as he has told me all sorts of wrong information to get this membership changed. REPEAT DO NOT SIGN UP FOR A MEMBERSHIP AT THIS GYM THEY LIE ABOUT THE MEMEBERSHIP AGREEMENT AS THEY WROTE MY CURRENT DISABILITY ON MY CONTRACT AND WON'T LET ME OUT OF IT. I PROVIDED TWO DOCTORS NOTES, MY DISABILITY CHECK AND THEY STILL HAVEN’T LET ME OUT OF IT. I FINALLY HAD THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY BLOCK PAYMENTS. more

Really enjoy the club, nice staff. I like the all inclusive membership so I don't have to pay extra for my kids to come and I can tan for free. Would recommend if you like a smaller family fitness gym. more

I was a member at this gym for a short period of time. The gym itself is great. The staff are knowledgeable at what they know best... workingout. Beyond that they are lacking. I had been a member while I was unemployed, it was discussed that if I needed to leave the area for a job I only needed to give paperwork, which I did by emailing my contact at the gym. Two months later I realize I am still being billed. I call back and ask to speak to the overall manger, she begins to deny I've been told what I was told (I have emails as evidence) and tells me it is standard procedure to call an external agency. So... in my opinion the staff I worked with (who seemed to be something of an assistant manager) was either just bad at his job or dishonest. I let you decide if you want to still go to the gym when they play these kinds of tricks on members. more

New location is 1 mile down 2920 from I45. Very nice, more room, great staff! If you are looking for a friendly atmosphere to work out in, you should check it out! more

This place is terrible. The manager is horrible!!!! They are overpriced and the trainers are a joke. The employees look like they have stepped foot in a gym!!!!!! more

Very comfortable.They are moving to a new facility in jan. of 08 so the old run down strip center and facility doesnt mean much to me. Good people and a good place to workout. more

Spring Fitness is so wonderful. They are just as good as the huge fitness centers that advertise on tv. They are so nice and very helpful. I do not feel out of place when I am there. The prices for membership are great and to add a spouse is even more reasonable. My kids just love going with me and exercising. I would say check them out before paying a huge price for a membership at other places. more

Spring Fitness is an old run down gym in an old run down strip mall. The gym is full of old equipment, it is very small, and the area is poorly organized. The cardio area is tiny and all fitness areas are in the same room so you hear aerobics classes when you are lifting. The staff is awful too, all they want is to sell you something. Do not go in the locker rooms either, it is scary. more
