My Mother-in-Law fell on Thursday from a chair in her kitchen. On Friday, she went to get checked out becuse she couldn't move very well (in her late 70's and very tiny). She was taken in to get x-rays and the technician who she described as stout told her she could not have the necklace on. She has not taken that off of her neck in over 12 years as it is a symbol of her late daughter. She has also had many x-rays with it on. After she let her keep it on, she had her stand facing the wall with her hands in the air. At that time, another worker came in with a piece of paper and told the tech to ""hold on, read this. I think you'll get a kick out of it"". All the while my Mother in law is standing with her hands over her head. She almost passed out from the pain. I just saw her and it is appearant to me (not being in the medical field) that she would have needed to sit after a minute. This is one of the most un-professional displays I have heard of! This is a facility intended to give care to people not care less. For anyone that needs care, do your research. We will be doing a more formal follow up on her behalf. For the Technician that was rude, unprrofessional and in-sensitive....CARMA, it comes back to you :) remember that.
