Best

When I had an important date or event, I used to go to the San Francisco Steakhouse, but now that that once great venue is closed, Spaghetti Warehouse is my destination for import...

Worst

I attended a group meeting here on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was quiet until a large group came in an hour behind us. That was ok, but the group walked back and forth nea...

Value for the Money 12/27/2007

The food is good here. More specifically, they have flavorful versions of your classic Italian dishes: Lasagna, spaghetti, etc. Service is fine. Prices are EXCELLENT. This is a very good place to take a big group if you book in advance. (i.e. rehearsal dinner or family reunion) They have banquet rooms and the group menu pricing is very reasonable. more

Very rude staff, Food is low quality, Slow service 11/9/2007

We went to the Spaghetti Warehouse on October 27th, 2007. While waiting for a table, we waited in the bar. We had to wait for 25 minutes in a line just to order a drink from the very rude bartender. I tried to order appetizers, but no one would help us. I finally asked the hostes who could get us appetizers, and she threw down her menues and shouted ""what do you want!"" THEN when we finally got seated, we waited a long time for our very poor quality food. more

It is okay 10/2/2007

Parking is HORRIBLE! Our waitress only came 2 times that was to get our drinks and to bring our food. Forks were dirty. Drinks were even bad. I will not be going here EVER AGAIN! Pros: NOTHING! Cons: EVERYTHING more

Good Lunch Spot 8/22/2007

Basically, it is your average downtown lunch place. Food is good, but not great. Service is really good. I go there often, especially when I receive a jury duty summons. I have no problems with the place at all. Pros: Good food. Cons: Can be a long walk whnt allready downtown. more

Best sourdough bread! 10/4/2006

I've been coming to the Spaghetti Warehouse since the 70's. The ambiance is great, the ghost stories are fun and the food has always been good. But, the sourdough bread and garlic butter make the overall experience magnificent! Pros: Sourdough bread more

Better than average for the price 7/22/2006

I started eating at The Spaghetti Warehouse as a child growing up in Houston. My sister and I loved sitting in the gazebo and running up stairs to sit in the trolly. The Spaghetti Warehouse is a great family restaurant at an inexpensive price. I loved it so much as a child that I started working there as a hostess and later a watress. The atmosphere is fun, upbeat, and friendly. Give it a chance and you see for yourself. Pros: Value Cons: BUSY!!!! more

Are you kidding me??? 7/12/2006

Okay I will give them the "ghosts" that haunt the warehouse story for ambiance; but I would prefer if they wouldn't let them cook. Ghosts are not known for great taste buds. I work downtown and sometimes I am coerced into going to this place. If you love Chef Boyardee, then this is the place for you. I lived in Milan for a short period and there were no Italian kitchens with this taste I assure you. If you want to go somewhere cheap . . . . Run don't walk here. However if you want it to taste as if someone in the kitchen has at least seen a picture of a real tomato I wouldn't suggest this place. Pros: The ghosts that haunt the warehouse and plenty of parking Cons: The ghosts that haunt the sauce more

What restaurants used to be 6/30/2006

Great place! Not only do you get a value, you get friendly service and great atmosphere. When you look at the menu and see the reasonable prices, you think that you are seeing things. The portions are great and the food was delicious. I love the sourdough bread and garlic butter. Pros: Everything Cons: Can't think of anything more

Always a Favorite 1/26/2006

We have for years enjoying eating at this downtown restaurant. The Spaghetti has always been wonderful and the sourdough bread is too. Salads are tops. Prices are okay. The only pitfall of this place is that it can be packed. Specially during wknds and dinner time. Be leary of the homeless people often hanging out right outside the door asking for hangouts. Parking is kinda scary too. Not good place for kids that like to run around thou they do have a kids arcade. Waiters are always superb! Host could Smile a bit more! No Manager in Site to ask how things were? Pros: Spaghetti, Ambiance, Prices Cons: crowded, wait time, parking more

Terrible food 11/7/2005

I went with a business group of 20. The service was great and friendly - even though it was only one server for all of us. We had unlimited self-serve tea /soda. The food was deplorable though. The salads were average at best, but the entrees were downright tasteless. I couldn't eat mine. My friend, said she would share her lasagna and I only ate it because I was so hungry. We were surprised that this place was popula. Feeling ripped off and disappointed at spending a mandatory $15 each plus we each were asked to leave a tip too by our group leader, I told my husband about the ordeal when I arrived home. He said: ""Oh yeah, S. W. food sucks. I've eaten there before and will never go back."" Duh, could he have told me beforehand so I could have eaten first before the meeting? Pros: good service Cons: horrible food more

ghosts and food 10/30/2005

The food is average but good. The resturant has a history that makes it fun. My sister- in- law felt a chill on her neck and her clasp on her necklace came open. There are ghost hunters in there on Saturday nights. Makes for spooky eating. Lots of fun Pros: inexpensive more
