I am so glad I found a decently priced storage facility that fits in my budget. I shopped around (online and driving) for hours when I finally came across discount storage. The older gentleman I spoke to was the first person that seemed to actually want my buisness wasn't and wasn't high. They were also willing to help me find a storage size that was within my budget and needs. I'll conclude with, don't judge this place by its outward appearance. more

Cheap Storage with free heat in winter!!!JOHN B. 7/5/2013

After looking around and checking rates I chose Space Place(Name Change to DISCOUNT STORAGE has Occurred) for their cheap rates. Stored thru winter and was amazed at how fast isles were plowed. At other storge facility they took 4-7 days to plow!! Nice touch!! No sign up fees either--paid $10 at other facility for paperwork/computer ?? BEST PLACE TO STORE! more

SUPER DEAL FOR STORAGE!! 4/26/2012

I moved to Anchorage with the military and this has been a great place to store. Free heat in winter, no rate increase and a nice discount for military folks. There was a complete change of staff in April or May 2012 . The new staff is great!!!!!!!!! I read one bad review and i think the owners found out the old staff needed replacing. Some of the staff is ex-military so i got along great. My roll-up door jammed one time and Trevor quickly fixed it. As i moved some of my storage out to housing they suggested i move smaller unit so i wasn't paying for empty space. transfering my remaining rent to the smaller unit. snow removal was better than the public highway! Nice place to store!! more

GREAT PLACE TO STORE!! 4/26/2012

I MOVED FROM A NEARBY MINI-STORAGE AFTER A FRIEND TOLD ME ABOUT THE SPACE PLACE......I'D GOTTEN 3 RENT INCREASES IN LESS THAN 6 MONTHS SO I WAS PRETTY UNHAPPY. WHAT A CHANGE!! AAAA+++ IT'S BEEN 4 MONTHS AND NO RENT INCREASE AND I'M GETTING FREE HEAT WHICH I DIDN'T GET AT THE OTHER LOCATION.....THEY EVEN STAYED PAST CLOSING SO I DIDN'T HAVE TO PAY ANOTHER DAY ON MY RENTAL TRUCK!! THE NEW MANAGEMENT IS GREAT! THE SNOW REMOVAL HAS BEEN DONE AT NIGHT SO IT'S USUALLY PLOWED WHEN I ARRIVE --NOT SO AT THE OTHER MINI-STORAGE . more

Best Bargain Storage Facility 8/21/2005

We chose this place after calling and viewing many others for a few reasons. Firstly, this was the cheapest place to go for a 10 x 20 storage unit and it didn't have the cramping some others we went to did. This place was also better as far as what it took to get inside, most others you had to park your car and get out to sign in. Space Place has heated units, something one must look for in a storage unit here in Alaska. more
