I've been to several different spas in Denver and around the world before I found Spa Universaire. I read all of the reviews before visiting the spa and was a bit nervous about what my experience would be like. I was very, very pleased with the service! When I arrived 30 minutes early, I was greeted by first name and shown around the spa. I completed some paperwork, changed into a comfy robe, some great massaging sandals and relaxed alone in the steam room (can only fit 2-3, but you can lock the outer door so it's very private and doesn't have that communal feel) with some nice aveda tea. My first treatment was the dead sea salt glow (actually, i first started with a foot bath) followed by the swedish massage. The masseuse was very attentive to pressure points, scents, comfort, etc and would have to say the best massage I've ever had. I finished with a one hour european facial which included the extractions and a nice mask. The products were all explained to me, but there was no push to buy (which i appreciated)! As a side note, I had a booking conflict and the spa was very accommodating to change certain services in lieu of another; as the lady put it "you're the guest and we'll do what you want". I have to say the customer service, knowledge and expertise at this spa has been some of the best i've ever had. The building has an old charm to it, but being right off Speer Blvd it still remains inviting, relaxing and exactly what a true spa in downtown Denver should have. Definitely highly recommended!
Pros: Aveda products, private steam shower, tea, customer service
Cons: Parking during the week might be bad; only 5 free spot dedicated to spa.
