Good Doctor 3/23/2009

I was reading the other comments and I don't agree with them. I had an 8:00 am and was in the doctors office at 8:25 and left at 9:15, he examined me and review my mri results and reports. We discussed my options, he seemed very caring and told me to talk to my family and employer to see when its a good time to schedule my surgery. I will follow up with additional comments after my surgery in April. Maybe its all about the time of appointments and how many people he has to see that day. I happened to get there when there were only 2 people in the waiting room. They were seen pretty quickly. My wait time was about 20 mins, with paperwork to fill out. more

stay away from this Dr. 1/27/2009

My adult daughter went to see this jerk and he had about as much bedside manner as a glow worm. Spent very little time with his patients, but has no problem making them wait for ever! Never again. more

Dr. Kaldis 11/13/2008

Dr. Kaldis has been takking care of me and my family for years. I first meet him will he was a trama Doctor at Herman. My brother had broke his neck and Dr. Kaldis work on him. He was so good with the family and my brother. He explained everything and was very concerned. He has done my knee and I see him for years on my back. He is the type of surgeon that wants to do everything but cut. To him surgery is the last option. I would not even think about a second opion after seeing him more

A HORRIBLE DOCTOR 10/14/2008

I went to see the doctor, and waited in his waiting room for two hours. When I saw him, he told me he couldn't write prescriptions for my broken back because the DEA wouldn't let him. more

Don't go see this doctor ! ! ! 10/10/2008

Good: letter cont>that are in pain. It’s lucky for me that I have something but I shouldn’t have to take these pills If you’ve done something that results in the DEA prohibiting you from.... Improvements: lette. more

A LONGTIME Patient 8/5/2007

I was sent to Doc.Kaldis after having surgery at UTMB in Galveston and got infection and almost died, after being in the hospital for a month. Anyway, he is my Doctor and i wouldn't have it any other way, he doesn't cut on you just to be doing surgery, and he has worked with me and my insurance. He has also done surgery on my Mother and Son and took really good care of them. Like the times of now there is a shortage of good Doctors and most Doctors today do Not have good caring attitudes towards patients because they actually do not have the time for the caring part of the business, WELL THIS IS DIFFERENT WITH DOC. MIKE KALDIS, HE MAKES THE TIME AND IS A DOCTOR BECAUSE HE CARES ABOUT HELPING AND MAKING PEOPLE HEALTHY, HE CARES ABOUT NOT WANTING TO JUST CUT A PERSON OPEN JUST TO DO SURGERY ON THEM SO THEY WILL GO AWAY. THAT IS NOT WHAT HE IS ABOUT SO REST ASURE THAT YOU ARE IN GOOD HANDS WHEN GOING TO DOC. KALDIS. SINCERELY CINDY LOU more

GREAT Doctor ! 10/25/2006

Dr. Michael Kaldis is a lifesaver, that's all there is to it. I wish all doctors had his caring manner and understanding. He told me how to take care of my back pain and avoid surgery -- after I had been told by 3 conservative non-cutter doctors I HAD to have surgery. That was 8 years ago and I have followed Dr. Kaldis' instructions daily and there's no surgery in my future. more

Excellent work on knee surgery 9/26/2006

Dr. Lionberger did surgery on my knee five years ago; he explained everything to me thoroughly ahead of time, made sure I'd tried everything else first, and did an excellent job on the surgery. I feel great, where I could hardly walk before, due to pain from a misaligned ligament. He has also treated several people I know for sports injuries, and I have never heard a single complaint. Good practice, and good bedside manner -- what more could you want? more

NO bedside manner, little time for patients 9/26/2006

I visited Dr. Kaldis for back pain. I was at the office for 2.5 hours, and only about 10 minutes of that (I timed it) was spent with him or a nurse -- the rest was sitting in a room by myself. At one point, after I'd been by myself for 45 minutes, the nurse came in, surprised to see me still there, and went to talk to him herself. Someone else across the hall was also complaining about waiting for a long time. When he listed several treatment options, and I asked about the relative prices (I'm self-pay on insurance), he laughed and said he doesn't keep up with things like that. He was so brusque that I couldn't even manage to ask him many questions or even tell him all the symptoms of my problem. I found out when I filled my prescription that he prescribed me codeine, which I wrote (on the sheet he was holding while talking to me) that I was allergic to. I would not recommend him at all! more

Another great doctor 8/19/2005

This is another doctor my mom saw before having surgery on her foot after a terrible fall at work. Like all of the doctors from the Southwest Orthopedic Group, Dr. Lionberger was wonderful. He took extra time to explain to both my mother and myself what had happened to her foot and how it would be fixed. more

Great doctor 8/19/2005

Dr. Kaldis was one of the doctors who worked on my mother's foot a few years back after a terrible fall at work. I accompanied her on serveral office visits and he was great. The wait time in the waiting room was a little long, but I guess that is typical everywhere these days. Hightly recommended. more
