Southbury Kitchens

I brought Wayne and Lori a very detailed plan for how I wanted the old kitchen to be rebuilt. They had a perfect cabinet style, and though it was a bit more expensive than I wanted to spend, it was well worth it in the end. The results were fantastic, all the workman were great, and I was so happy with the results, the extra expense wasn't even an issue anymore. This is something you're going to live with for 15-20 years.... go with a quality team headed by Wayne. He knows what he's doing!. more

We had a very good experience working with Wayne, Lorie, and Kevin Grabowski of Southbury Kitchens. Though this was the first kitchen place we visited, we spent several months researching other sites. In the end, we felt that Wayne, Lorie, and Kevin were very knowledgeable and eager to work with us. They were also extremely patient given the many questions we had. When we began this project, we knew absolutely nothing about appliances, granite, sinks, or the many accompanying decisions that would have to be made. The Grabowskis know their stuff and were extremely helpful. In addition, the workers who actually put the kitchen together were excellent. Each day they left the area cleaner than when they arrived. Shawn Robbins (and his team) made very good recommendations regarding lighting and the floor which needed some repair. We installed new cabinets, new appliances, new granite, and we also extended our kitchen island. With three men coming every day, the entire kitchen was completed within two weeks. We also appreciated the fact that many months later, Wayne came back to our house to make some minor adjustments to some of the drawers in the cabinets. Should any other problems arise, we feel confident that Wayne would not hesitate to fix whatever is needed. We are very happy with our new kitchen and we'd highly recommend Southbury Kitchens. more

Over a year ago, we began the dreaded process of gutting our kitchen. We searched and evaluated many different companies both large and small along the 84 corridor and decided on Southbury Kitchens (“SK”). The decision was based on several factors: location, pricing, their ability to listen and interpret our wants, helped with decision-making by sharing their experiences, integrity, sense of urgency and emotional support. As you can imagine with a project this big, things go wrong, in this case not related to the cabinets. SK rallied with us to help us in every possible way to get the desired result we wanted. Our floors had to be redone 3 times and this last final time required cabinet trim that was not included in the contract. SK refused to be paid as all they wanted from us was our final stamp of satisfaction. As my husband and I GC's 2 homes in the past, we can honestly say, we've never worked with such a professional, personable and caring team. Thank you SK... We will be back! more

It's been 4 years since my kitchen remodel by Southbury Kitchens and the room looks like it was completed just yesterday. I recently had an issue with my dishwasher, and needed to pull the unit out. I called Southbury Kitchens to ask how best to move the unit, and that afternoon Wayne, the owner, was at my home assisting me. It's rare to find such personal service in today's world. They are prideful of their work, as proven by the house call four years later! I'm a customer for life. more

Southbury Kitchens sold us our cabinetry and helped to coordinate our kitchen remodel in 2005. They came up to our house several times to measure and supervise installation to make sure everything came out perfect. Seven years later our "new" kitchen still gets compliments from visitors and is our favorite room in the house! more

I walked in, and I wasn't dressed up. The owner didn't greet me or shake my hand. He was curt and abrupt. He told me I should bring countertop measurements in, as opposed to coming to my house and doing on-site measurements. When I was leaving he asked, "Do you even live in Southbury?" more
