College Students should avoid South Main Auto unless you are just getting a routine oil change - do not let them talk you into anything else without getting a second opinion. I will never be taking my car back to them again. \r

I took my car in for a routine oil change and I also mentioned that my vehicle vibrated while braking at highway speeds - South Main came back recommending that I get new front and back rotors and front and back brake pads to the tune of $927.79 (which included parts, labor, the oil change and a scan that they thought needed to be done because the airbag light was on - which I knew and did not ask for). I told them that they would not be doing all of that work. Instead I took my car to a TRUSTED mechanic in Pennsylvania where I am from and who I usually take my car to when I am home. Without looking at the car the same brake work (rotors and pads and labor) was estimated to be $550. However after the PA mechanic looked at the car he said that the brake pads where practically NEW, the rear rotors where fine and that the front rotors could easily be sanded (never an option at South Main) - Total Cost: $35.60 and my car is working great - no more vibrating! \r

To any of my friends who ask for a good car shop - I will not be recommending South Main Auto because they can not be trusted.
