I had a great experience at Soon. I was very hesitant to get a hair cut because my hair is a little tricky to deal with- Ellen did an amazing job. Its a few days later and it still looks like it did the day she cut it. Ask for Ellen! more

Soon is a fantastic place to get a cut. I went to Carolyn who was friendly and helpful and gave me the best cut I've had in years. She listened to what I wanted and made really excellent suggestions. All the stylists and staff were friendly, young and hip. Everyone seemed happy and there is a positive, unpretentious vibe to the whole place. Soon rocks! All I can is- GET SOME AIR CONDITIONING in there. As a regular customer, I have found this place has really gone down hill. It has not been kept up well at all- the place is in need of some repairs- certainly not chic or cool anymore. If it weren't for my stylist, I think I would never come back. Anytime you go in here- you die from the heat. How they think they can charge the prices they do with such an uncomfortable environment is beyond me!!! Everyone was obviously sweating!! I've gotten a ton of great cuts at Soon. Try to get a more experienced staff person, like Julie, for a more exciting cut. And they have a $10 trim service! the best.... Pros: open late, not too expensive, cute dog more

I made an appointment here after reading the mostly rave reviews, and I was pleasantly surprised! I had asked for a stylist who was on the lower end of their price range ($45), knowing that could be the death of my hair. That's more than I'll typically pay, but it was worth it- I WILL go back. My stylist, Ellen, was fifteen minutes late. She was very apologetic, and so friendly that she even got me (I normally am not terribly talkative after a long work day) to engage in a conversation the entire haircut. She cut my hair EXACTLY how I had explained the difficult short haircut to her without me providing a picture or anything!! The best part about this salon is probably the fact that they have a ""trimming service""- if you need a trim as things grow out, you can make an appointment for only $10! You can get a fab haircut and it wont cost you an arm and a leg. I go to Melissa, the owner, and she is great. I have gone to other stylists there and they are awesome. It took me a long time to find a hair stylist that could do a great job and do it for a decent price. They are also fast too. For a good cut - go here. more
