These people are the biggest scumbags in the world. I am a former tenant of 1007 2nd which is a shithole, don’t ever live there. The apartments are a part of the restaurant downstairs, where the boiler is. We found out from the NYS Department of Health that the contractors wouldn’t touch the boiler to fix it because there were maggots in the basement, where they also prep food. The smell has made this building unlivable and they try to cover it up with air fresheners and sprays, instead of getting to the root of the problem. There’s always an issue with not having hot water or no heat and it doesn’t get fixed for several days, leaving you without the ability to take a shower. They won’t let you break your lease and every time you call the leasing department, there is some rude receptionist who hates her job. Like I’m inconveniencing her because I have a question about my apartment. \r

There are 2 bars next door, so you will hear loud banging music until 4 AM pretty much every night and you’ll definitely deal with puke on your front steps. The exhaust is directly outside your windows so you can never open them up for fresh air without smelling cooked Chinese food. None of the apartments have new appliances and the bathroom and showers are disgustingly old. Sol Goldman Investments won’t upgrade or update anything. \r

Lookup the building at the NYC Department of Buildings website and you’ll see all the violations. You can also go to NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development and enter the building info to see complaints, violations and registration information. Instead of writing “2nd Avenue” write “second avenue” or “2 avenue” and you’ll see how shitty this building and the owners really are. \r

Avoid these jew-faces at all costs; I’m doing you a favor by telling you not to live here, TRUST ME! They’re unresponsive and discourteous to all tenants. Sol Goldman Investments is the worst landlord in NYC.\r
