That is the most important factor to me in a trainer-- they need to be able to motivate me, and if they can make jokes while doing it, that is a plus! I train with Chris at an ungodly hour in the morning-- and I am not a morning person, yet I am still motivated to get up and into the gym with him for our sessions. I like the gym he trains at because everyone in there is serious about working out, and sometimes we work outside which is great, too. Chris' routines are always changing, so I'm never bored, and I feel like I am getting a great work out. Pros: outside workout more

Chris Knows His Stuff! Great Energy! 2/10/2007

Working out with Chris gives me so much energy and makes me feel wonderful, its better than a massage even! Whoever below said Chris is how a personal trainer should be is exactly right. He knows how to motivate and push people and when to introduce something new. The gym has never been crowded during my visits and I've gone at all times of the day. I've always been able to get right on the equipment that I want to use. He switches things up between inside and outdoors constantly. Its great to be able to step outside in the fresh air and do some butt kickin' lunges, squats or ab work on a mat. Chris doesn't just count reps and sit there. He is always cracking jokes, working to correct my positioning, and most of all -- smiling! Every workout is different too. I also like the fact that the rates are very affordable and I never felt like I was being ""sold"" something. Chris is great at listening to what your goals are and helping you get there. He knows what to have you do for optimum results. I've worked with other trainers before and never had a trainer who was so positive and energetic. The Most Positive Effective Trainer! 1/19/2007

""A Positively Fit"" Personal Training is much more than a physical workout. Chris also challenges you mentally. His program focuses on the person as a whole. The workouts he creates for you are always very challenging, but he is always there to support you through-out the process. Chris is always changing things up, so there is no chance of you getting board! His positive attitude is very contagious, which makes you want to attend your sessions. \r \r The environment is very energized with people cheering you on. Everyone attending is there for the same reason, and you don't want to let them down along with yourself. Of all the gyms I have attended in the past, this is the first I have attended that doesn't make me feel intimidated. Everyone there is highly supportive, which encourages you to work even harder. \r \r If you are looking for a trainer/gym that is a ""Meat Market"" this is NOT the place. I have been training with Chris for over a year. I feel and look great. His workouts are intense but personalized for what you can handle. I have muscle tone and more energy since starting the program. If you ever want to miss a workout, you better have a great excuse, Chris doesn't except lame excuses. Why even hire a personal trainer? Why choose Chris as your personal trainer? These are two very good questions. The answers are simple and make perfect sense. How many people join a gym and then never go or find reasons not to go? When you have a trainer it keeps you motivated and provides for an atmosphere that makes it easy to stay committed to your workouts. It becomes a habit with so many incredible benefits that just aren't possible on your own. Personalized fun training 1/3/2007

Personal training get truly intense with these workouts. The trainers are super funny, a little bit crazy, and care about getting you results. I thought I was in great shape before....working out with them got me smokin! and it was a fun process. I highly recommend this service if you dedicated to looking great and getting that summer bikini body like I did. more

Best Damned Trainer in the Universe!!! 9/22/2006

Over the last year, Chris has become a friend, mentor, dietician, and Jedi Master to me. Working out with him has been something I looked forward to doing, knowing that the hour would be physically tough but always lots of fun, and often spiritually uplifting. Chris has a personality and attitude that make him easy to work with, even when I was having a rough day or just wasnt into the workout. He is an expert at motivating and inspiring me to succeed in my goals, in the gym as well as in my life. I truly believe that he is the type of person that sincerely wants people to achieve happiness and fulfillment, and goes out of his way to make sure he is giving them everything they need towards that end. \r \r I am now 40 years old, but people tell me I look 35. I feel great. I look 100% better than I did last year. I can see the difference in the mirror and everyone that knows me makes very flattering comments. I never ate poorly, but Im eating so much healthier now than ever before. Im stronger, more flexible, and have greater endurance than I think I ever had in my entire life. My experience with Chris McCombs has been life changing in ways I didnt think possible, and Im very grateful that I ended up working with him. Fun Workout with Great Results! 9/20/2006

I have been training with Chris for the past three months. I have spent many years at larger gyms working my butt off and getting little results. It wasnt until I met Chris that I made noticeable results in my body. I have lost body fat, toned up areas that seemed impossible in the past to tone, and I have more upper body strength than I have ever had in my life. Chris is a great motivator and very knowledgeable about what works when it comes to getting in shape. In the past, there were many days when I dreaded going to the gym and jumping on the treadmill. But with Chris, I look forward to a good workout. His workouts are a great combination of motivation, friendship, laughter and at the same time a challenge while using in a variety of different exercises. His full body workouts are never boring or repetitive. He puts a sincere interest into all his clients lives but at the same time he makes sure you are giving your workout 100%. After each workout I leave feeling so great. Cant wait to see what results I will get in the next three months! Great workouts, makes you do things you thought weren't possible for you 9/19/2006

Since I started at Positively Fit (with Personal trainers Chris, and Josh), I've toned up and lost weight. I only go once a week, but still getting results! They are very energetic, motivational, and the workouts make you feel the BURN. They're all really awesome over there, pushing you to the limit. You'll be doing things you never thought you could do, and that's the best reward. You surprise yourself! more

How a personal trainer should be 9/19/2006

Chris is nice, friendly and a very genuine person. He gives positive feedback and encouragement. At the same time, he pushes his clients and doesn't tolerate slacking off. This has made such a difference: I can't afford the luxury of having a personal trainer every time I work out, but Chris has taught me to push myself so I can maximize my workout every time I go to the gym. I have been in Chris' program for 5 weeks and my endurance and strength have increased dramatically! Pros: A lot of outdoor workouts--get out of the stuffy gym!!! more
