I took my Mercedes to Smitty's to get a minor thing fixed. I talked to a receptionist and the owner, Mike, on the phone several times. Both were very helpful and pleasant on the phone. I wasn't able to pick up my car until after they closed because of work but Mike waited until about 6:30 pm for me to pick it up! He's a very friendly and possitive guy, I'm glad I got my car worked onthere and I'll definetly be back if I need anything else done. The service was quick, painless, and not too expensive, and I'll say it again -very friendly and personable more

Smitty's is the best. 5/20/2010

Trustworthy! I was their mail carrier for 4 years and I watched them the whole time, after wards I decided to use them. My kids use them. My mom uses them. Mike is the best,but make an appointment, they are POPULAR! more

I won't go anywhere else. 9/14/2007

I've hunted for a good mechanic for years. I read the review by JP and decided to try Smitty's. Simply outstanding. My Dodge Grand Caravan had a "check engine light" on for a while. I took it in and asked them to also do a tune-up while they had it. Kevin, looked up the prescribed service for the car and said "not to talk myself out of business but you don't need a tune-up until 100K miles". After checking out the engine light they found they couldn't do the work so passed me over to a shop across the street. They charged me $0 for it AND they drove the car over the the other shop that had the right equipment to fix it. These guys are a total class act and with me they have got a customer for life. The place is clean and the employees are all in clean uniforms. It's like stepping into the 1950's. more

Best I've Found 3/27/2006

I was born and raised in SD and Smitty's is the best. I was referred by a friend of the family's and I was initially put off by the up to 2 week waiting list. When I did get in they were speedy and the cheapest in town. Oil change is about $20 and I have never felt like they are trying to rip me off. Each visit they do a superficial check of fluids etc. The only downside is they fix what you bring the car in for, they don't really check to make sure everything else is in working order more
