Slater Park is looking better 3/22/2006

They have the best playground around once all the teenagers get out. They have many different areas to play based on age, which is really nice. The carosoual is the best deal at .25 cents a ride in the spring and summer. I'm really glad there is an inexpensive place to hang around on a nice day. I however was not impressed with Dagget Farm. I wish they would redo it and put in a nicer farm/zoo area. more

Super Playground 3/22/2006

Since Slater Park redid their playground area, it has become one of my kids' favorites. They have separate playscapes for different ages and many new features you don't find in other playgrounds, like the rock wall and web-type climbing structures. There's a snack bar and ice cream stop, as well as the Daggett Farm. You can also take a walk around the pond and ride the carousel. The park also does many events throughout the year, like the Christmas Tree Wonderland and summer concerts. more

Slater Memorial Park 12/14/2005

Slater Park is a big park, with a forest, a pond, picnic sites, a river, and a bike path. All I have really experienced of the park is the Looff carousel there. None of the animals move up and down, but the carousel is very fast -- the fastest carousel I've ever experienced. Tickets are 25c An unusual and interesting, if somewhat nauseating, experience. more
