YUM! Sisley is the bomb! Great Italian food. I haven't had anything that I didn't love. My current favorites are the sausage marinara and the meat loaf. the servers are always nice. It's worth the drive to the Valley to go Sisley. more

Great Italian Restaurant 6/6/2010

From the moment you're greeted at the door, you know you're welcome at this restaurant. This is my most favorite hangout with my best friend...the servers are excellent (we miss you, Michael!), and somehow remember our favorite dishes and the way we like them prepared and the food arrives quickly and is delicious. We've never felt rushed. Just an all around wonderful experience! Pros: The food and the staff more

Sisley satisfies 6/5/2010

Every server is friendly, eager, and efficient. Wait staff remembers regular customers and their usual orders. Meatballs are delicious; chopped salad with basil balsamic vinegar is my favorite. I'm always in the mood for this combination. Pros: Excellent service, reliably good food more

Great Place for food and service 3/12/2010

Love their salads. Pros: Very Pilot People Cons: Parking more

Simply good, everytime 7/13/2009

When my girlfriend and I lived in Encino we used to eat here all the time. She literally made me go to Sunday brunch 4 weeks straight, just for their French Toast. Sometimes I wanted to say no, but my tummy always said yes. We live in West Hollywood now and unfortunately there is no location close (except westside pavilion). We went back last weekend before a movie and I'm just so happy that nothing has changed. The food is always good, always consistent. I love how you always see the owners there making sure everything is running smoothly. I've never reviewed a restaurant on here before, but I signed up specifically to write this one for Sisley. Because its refreshing to see an establishment that cares about how they treat their customers. Pros: Great food, good location great selection of family platters more

Best Italian in Town 7/13/2009

This is the place for Italian and you would never expect an Italian restaurant to be the place to find vegetarian but they have the best in the city. The service is great and the portions are huge bring an appetite or plan on taking half home. Pros: Great Menu and Prices more

Forget about Dinner, When Brunch tastes this GOOD! 7/13/2009

I’m not usually a morning person or much of a breakfast eater but the Sunday Brunch I had yesterday could make me change my ways. A friend and I decided not to go out Saturday night in Hollywood but instead wake up early and have a nice Sunday Brunch somewhere. She suggested Sisley’s Kitchen in Sherman Oaks and I now know why! The service was on point and very informative. Although we both thought we ordered more food then we could possible eat but somehow the two of us finished it all and the bill was still at a very reasonable price. Each dish was delivered with good timing and there was never too much food being forced on us at once. It was all very pleasant and had a very European feel to the meal. Overall, everything was tasty, and I highly recommend their Breakfast Pizza with the two poached eggs on top… Wow! I’ll be back for more. Pros: Food, Quality, Price, Environment Cons: There’s not a SISLEY’s located in HOLLYWOOD more

Ever since I was a teenager 7/13/2009

Been going here since I went to high school in Sherman Oaks. Gotta say not much has changed as I went there recently: the bread was still hot and amazing, caesar salad was crisp (the large parmesan chunks especially) and my all time favorite, the apple walnut chicken, came out perfectly balsamic-y and piping hot. When you order an iced tea, they will ask you passion or regular. Anyone who knows, knows: always get the passion. Brunch specials are good too, especially the pizza with the egg and stuff on it. It sux tho that the hours on brunch are only on Sunday. Should be served every day. (If you are ever in a hurry, get a chix parmesan panini to go. And dont forget to get extra marinara on the side b/c sometimes they don't put enough.) Pros: Passion iced tea, caesar salad, apple walnut chicken, bread Cons: Brunch menu is only served on Sundays, need a Westside local more

Great staff! 2/5/2009

I had a surprise party in your Sherman Oaks location in January and thanks to your staff there, everything went perfectly.\r \r The manager Brian went out of his way the week before an the day of to ensure every detail was set and even helped me pick out a cake. He checked on our group several times throughout the evening... now THAT's how management should be. Kudos!\r \r Our server was Kurt and he was superb at managing our big group. Great service, great attitude.\r \r I couldn't be more pleased with the service or the food. My husband and I are regulars at Sisley already, but now I can't stop telling people that's where they should hold their parties. We'll absolutely do it again... I told Kurt and Brian how pleased I was that evening, but thought you should know...\r \r Kind regards\r \r PS -- LOVE the new vegetarian menu! Pros: staff, food, details more

disappointment 5/14/2008

We have gone to the Sisley's in Thousand Oaks and have had a great meal so we decided to go there for Mother's Day( a day earlier though). What a huge disappointment. The food wasnt so great, the service was just horrible and one of the diners we were with, had to send her food back twice because it was cold( twice) . Then ,the nerve of the restaurant to actually charge us for that meal that needed to be sent back twice. The waiter never came around to see how we were doing, never offered more bread.. nothing. The pasta was slightly overcooked too. Waiter also forgot my wine. more

Overall a very reliable restaurant experience. 4/23/2008

Sisley works very well for lunch or dinner, for the family or when I have to meet a client. First, the food is very good. I like the fresh breadsticks, Gorgonzola salad, the Italian quesadilla, and the chicken or veal marsala or piccada. Their portions are generous and very tasty. For dessert the tiramisu is to die for. Since the portions are generous we usually have food to bring home and I like to bring a dessert home to eat the next day (or later that night). Second, the atmosphere is very nice and the location is perfect at the corner of Ventura and Sepulveda, across from the movie theaters. The staff is friendly and service is usually very good and friendly, especially with my kids. They like to go there for their birthday dinner. My younger ones ask for some raw pizza dough to play with. Good solid restaurant experience. Pros: Great Italian food, convenient location, and value for your buck. more

A great experience 4/17/2008

Went there for dinner tonight...FABULOUS. The waiter was prompt and courteous even suggesting the Chicken Penne. The portions were large and tasted great. Great desserts...the ""Obsession"" cake was to die for. A great dinner for before or after a movie at The Landmark across the street. Pros: Valet parking, Food and Service more

Sisley offers the best of the best !!! and the desserts.........AMAZING 3/13/2008

We just love coming here. Sisley is a great place to go because the food is great and the environment is superb. We been at different times of the day and it's always just perfect !!! The staff is excellent and the restaurant is always clean. \r BTW, the desserts are unbelievable.....and this is coming from a dessert specialist. \r SISLEY OFFERS THE BEST OF THE BEST IN TOWN..........and we visit the Thousand Oaks restaurant as well. We've had great parties here as well. \r \r thank you Sisley \r more

Consistently good experiences. 3/12/2008

I would say I have gone to Sisley a dozen or so times in the last three years. Of those times, I think I have had one sub-par experience. And even that was minimal at best. The service is always friendly and quick. The food is awesome. We usually order the Chicken Penne. It's simply delicious. We have strayed off our regular dish and ordered other items, all with their own unique flavor. I've gone there for lunch. I've gone their with my wife. I've gone with friends. I always have a good time and recommend it. If you go, there occasionally is a great waiter there... name is Kirk or Kurt (sorry, not sure)... ask for him. He always makes us feel like we are the most important people in the place. For once, you'll be hoping this actor-waiter gets a break and makes it. Oh, and their bread is phenomenal. Make sure it comes out fresh and you won't be disappointed. Pros: Bread. Chicken Penne. Servive. Ambiance. Cons: Guys working the parking structure. more

Good food, clean restaurant, friendly staff. Just a good experience 2/16/2007

I recently moved here from the O.C. and I'm in the process of trying new places. Some good, some not so good. This restaurant was a great experience. My husband and I had a great dinner with good wine and awesome desserts, yes desserts !!! We are so happy we tried this place out. We sat next to the owners and they were so nice to us. We started talking for a few mintues and we felt at home. It's nice to see a family owned business that is good and successful. The best Tuna Tartar we've had in a while. \r We will be coming back, soon. Thank you. Pros: parking, variety, clean, desserts Cons: no O.C. location more

Excellent food and service!! 8/20/2006

I have found this quaint little spot to offer up excellent Italian food and service. Its not too expensive and the portions are fantastic. You will enjoy this little gem! Pros: bread, deserts, lasagna Cons: none!! more

Good place for lunch 5/16/2006

The service has been good the several times I've had lunch here. I would recommend getting a reservation sometimes, as lunchtime can get very busy at Sisley. They have a good selection of food for the light eater (salads) to the heavy eater (beef). The added bonus is that you never know when you might be having lunch right next to Pete Rose. more
