Great place to pull. Lots of easy young European lads. Bartenders weren't much to look at. Bouncers with bodies to die for, flirty, fit and fun. Either the drinks were strong ...

Great Bday Venue 12/14/2010

Sin Sin was a great find in the Village. I reserved a table for my boyfriends 26th birthday and we had a group of 14 friends. I found a free planning planning service AccessGotham. com and they set everything up for me, which made the night go smoothly. I had one of my friends drop off a birthday cake earlier in the night and my boyfriend was shocked we had one!. The staff was great and our waitress was so sweet to all our friends. The DJ was very talented and played great tunes the entire night! more

Successful NYC Night! 12/11/2010

I helped one of my girlfriends organize her birthday at Sin Sin through AccessGotham. com The night was a success, no door hassles, great drink specials that were delicious. We reserved the upstairs backroom next to the dj and dancefloor. We even had our own private bartender! Everyone in our group had a fabulous time! more

YAY FOR FREE DRINKS! 8/4/2010

This place plays GREAT music! Cover is $5 for a Saturday night and the bartenders were pretty cool but then again, my friends told them it was my birthday and I got FREE DRINKS! YAY FOR FREE DRINKS! They have two floors so the girls and I migrated constantly between the two where the music ranged from old school hip hop to some bumpin' electro. This place makes people move which is good since I didn't notice anyone standing around staring at people dance which is creepy. Drinks are relatively inexpensive ranging from $5 - 10 which is pretty good in my opinion. I'd definitely come back even though it caters to an early 20s crowd. more

Awesome place to hang out :) 6/13/2010

I've been to this lounge several times and have always had a good time. there is a $5 dollar cover to get in. Which considering its NYC it's like nothing. It is a bar lounge and the decor is a little cheesy but really you're there to have a good time not to stand and stare at the wall. I haven't been there since my favorite DJ is no longer there on sat so that's a downer. This place has three floors. Usually they have house and old school hip-hop on the first and top40s/hip-hop-/pop on the second but that can be differnet depending on the DJ. Basement has coat check($3) and bathroom. The crowds here are really mixed. So on any given Friday or Sat its a different crowd. This is a popular place because of is vibe so it WILL get crowded. The bouncers are not pretentious rude a-holes which is a big plus. They are always patrolling around the crowd and on hand if you ever have a problem. I've been there on a Wednesday and its a house/soul/funk kind of day but its really cool and laid back. Awesome place to hang out. more

Just Dance 6/6/2010

Great 2 for 1 happy hour until 8 on everything brings the local drinking crew in early. Stop in before 8 for a couple of martinis. But later it changes to a cool lounge/club vibe with DJ's upstairs and downstairs, gets crowded on the weekends but there's lots of dancing so it keeps moving. Good bartenders, well run place. It's the kind of place you go to chill and hear house music or sometimes hip-hop. An easy going crowd. The owner's very friendly. Good times all around. more

i love sin sin (: 6/1/2010

i had checked out all of the other affiliate venues (i.e. katra, taj and bar 12), and finally gave sin sin a GO! sin sin is definitely the ""go to"" spot if you're looking for a great end of the week party. my friends and i loved sin sin so much this past friday, that we decided to return on saturday. our plans to go to miami for the weekend were ditched at the last minute, but all was made right for us with the awesome drinks and food at sin sin. heading back this weekend! Pros: MUSIC baby! Cons: crowd :| more

Sin Sin is For the Win 6/1/2010

While visiting with relatives in the city over the Memorial Day weekend, I happened to stumble into Sin Sin while bar hopping throughout the city. Sin Sin is a bit unassuming, but I am SOOO happy that we ended up here. The music was great, in comparison to a few of the spots we visited located in the same area. The crowd was very laid back, and the staff was very friendly. Our server was very attentive, but so many other great things overshadowed this minor setback. Pros: mixed crowd; awesome range of music Cons: server wasn't too attentive more

Sin Sin a magical time machine 5/30/2010

Ace of Base ""The Sign""? Salt-N-Peppa ""Whatta Man""? Skee-Lo ""I Wish""? Montell Williams ""This is How We Do It?"" Is Sin Sin a magical time machine that has transported me back to the 1990s??? If so, fantastico!!!!!! I haven't heard this amazing assortment of 90s jams since, well, the 90s! Crowd: nothing to get jazzed about (usually an assortment of birthday parties and bachelorette parties) Drinks: hit or miss. B+ on price. A+ on bartender friendliness (left her a hefty tip for letting me try the ""coffee patron"" for the first time). Door: I got there at 12:15 and the list closed at 12am... I was still let in for free so I give the bouncer/door ppl an A+. i dont pay cover to go to places so that rocked! Music: If you enjoy the songs mentioned at the top of this review, you'll LOVE IT! I sure did!! Thumbs up sin sin ! Pros: Great Music and Bartenders more

NYC-nostalgia 5/28/2010

You either love it or hate it, wither way WEDNESDAY night is the night to go. I almost hate to let this cat out of the bag because it's basically a locals party on Wednesdays and, I was told, it's rare for them to see newbies. I COMPLETELY understand why this place gets some BAD reviews- it's not the nicest venue and at times it can get a little crowed, but hey its a CLUB what did you expect? I had such a good time and whenever I think of this place I get the NYC-nostalgia that you get when you leave. The Wednesday crowd is basically a bunch of professional/street dancers that dance house. It is SO amazing because they move like NOTHING you have ever seen before. I've been to a lot of dance parties in my life and seen a lot of genres, but the way they move their bodies is insane and definitely is a once in a lifetime (or weekly if you live in NY- haha) experience. The crowd is real friendly and will chat you up, ESPECIALLY if they don't recognize you (which is, I suppose not a suprise in NYC) and the bar staff is just super cool and there is no pressure to overdo it with the booze because it's just an awesome house party. LOVE this place. more

Soulgasm 5 Stars :) 5/24/2010

yeah Sin Sin iam giving you 5 stars .. I am mostly reviewing the Soulgasm party that has been happening there every Wednesday for the last 3 years ... If you like dancing just freakin go there. People are extremely nice the house music is soulfull and people are dancing like they were going to die tomorrow. The whole New York house dancing scene gather there every Wednesday : Breakers, lockers, poppers, gay-voguers, footworkers everybody shows up and everybody dance in such a great atmosphere. Ejoe Wilson ( check him out on youtube) is one of the greatest dancer in history and with Red and Brian he gave birth to a GREAT PARTY If you like any kind of dancing : Give it a try around midnite on Wednesday and you will not be disapointed .. drinks are good and cheap and even more importantly if u like dancing alone in your living room because you are the worst dancer ever : do not worry NOBODY will make fun of you or judge you or anything I can guarantee that you will have fun Pros: great fun more

Nice lounge, but music should be better 11/16/2009

I celebrated my bday here last December and I had a good time. The employees made my birthday nice and stood true to their word and gave me a complimentary champagne bottle because I brought 15 friends! The manager even gave me free drink tickets because it was my birthday! Their cocktails/drinks were great and were worth the money. There was also no charge to get in, so no complaints! The only two things i didnt like was the crowd and the music. The crowd could have been more classier. The crowd looked a lil nerdy. The DJ also should have played Top 40, house music, hip hop all mixed together. Instead, from what I remember they played a lot of old mashups mixed in with some new. But other than that, this place was nice. Pros: atmosphere, great look, hookah, good customer service Cons: music, crowd more

Great for birthdays 11/9/2009

I threw a birthday party here for 30+ ppl. $50 got us a small cordoned-off area with a couch with seats for about 6 people. It was a bit crowded, but the makeshift dance floor was enough room. The DJ was awesome, playing a good mix of hip-hop from the 90s to today. We didn't get the free champagne bottle advertised on the website, though. Still, a good time was had by all. Pros: Great music, down-to-earth employees Cons: bit crowded, little too loud at times more

Drum and Bass AWESOME! 10/18/2009

I have only come here for their weekly Drum n' Base/House party on Tuesdays so that is what I'm basing my review on. more

Little Jem in the East Village! 10/11/2009

My friend and I were on the lower east side and stumbled upon sin sin. We decided to stop by and check out the venue just for a drink. We ended up staying the whole night! The staff was amazing! The drinks were delicious and the crowd was great! Definitly coming back! I had an amazing time! I recommend it to everyone! more

not your average club 10/11/2009

So i stopped by sin sin not knowing what to expect. Im usually a marquee or mansion type of guy but my boy had his yearly get together there and let me tell you the vibe is sooooo chill. Its not ur average club. Two floors and different DJ's kept me guessing all night. They played all the great hip hop classics that for some reason fall off every mainstream dj's play list. The batenders are extra attentive and I even had a chance to speak to the manager (who btw never gave me her number even after i hounded her for three hours) she took care of my boys and made sure we were all plastered by the end of the night. This place is lost in a corner of LES and thanx to citysearch i found it and plan on visiting again for drinks and for the managers number. Thanx nikki for an awsome night. See u soon. Pros: 2 floors with 2 different djs, great bartenders, nikki Cons: she didn't give me her number! more

Couldn't Have Asked For More... 10/7/2009

I researched for a long time to find a great place in the city for my bday. This place offered the best deal and had great reviews... def earned. This place wasn't up-against-the-wall-crowded like a lot of other city places. A majority of the ppl there were there to celebrate birthdays so there weren't a lot of random weirdos trying to dance up on you and bother you. I had a lot of fun with my friends in our reserved section and the dj even played my favorite song even though it ""messed up his flow""... hands down great place to have your birthday if you want to dance and have fun with your group of friends. Pros: intimate but room to party Cons: incense burning was a bit much more
