I'll be brief. They brought the wrong appetizer, soda was flat, and there was an insect my pho! The worst was when I told them about the insect, they acted as if it was no big deal. I never thought I would have any bad words about a Pho Van restaurant, but this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I have ever experienced. more

I am a huge fan of Asian food and I just experienced the worst meal of my entire life at Silk. We visted the restaurant towards the end of the lunch rush and our group was floored by the entire experience. To begin with, two people in our party ordered sodas, but the sodas arrived with little to no carbonation. This could certainly be forgiven on its own, but everything went downhill from there. We had a vegetarian in the group and specifically ordered the vegetarian salad rolls, except they arrived with pork and shrimp. Because a waiter could not be found, we simply made do. There was also a lack of plates for the appetizer, which resulted in a messy table that the server did not seemed bothered by when he plopped down our entrees. The highlight of the meal was one person finding an insect in their soup. We will not go into specifics, but this was not a small gnat we are talking about. The staff did not seem terribly bothered by our discovery. The rest of the group was too disgusted to continue eating. When the waiter finally returned to clear our plates, he then asked if we wanted dessert. Apparently the expressions of disgust and the half eaten entrees were not enough to clue him in. When the bill arrived, the sodas and soup had been romoved, but there was no other discount or apology noted. We will never ever return to this restaurant again, nor will will ever let anyone we know visit. It is a shame - Pho Van was a favorite. more

This place has the best happy hour in town. They have only a few drink specials but the tuk tuk martini is amazing and the food is really well portioned. I've had vietnamese food all over and the food here is really superb. The decor is really cool and modern without being cold. It can get a little tight when it gets busy but the service is really good, watching the bartender is fascinating. I love this place. I work pretty close by and come in for the happy hour whenever I can. The food is fresh and clean, you leave feeling like you had a good healthy meal. I strongly recommend the salad rolls and the fried noodles they have on their happy hour menu, the chicken noodle soup is great, too. I had just moved to this city back in August, and this was one of the first places I went. It seemed unique and thought I would give it a try from just walking by. My friend and I (we're both vegetarians, well... he's a vegan) were very impressed by the lounge/bar. They have a great happy hour, FABULOUS drinks, and the food was amazing (esp. for bar food!) We had SUCH a great time, we keep saying that we need to go back to Silk! Now I haven't tried the actual restaurant, but the lounge is definitely worth checking out. Nice date vibe. more

So the atmosphere and decor are hip and fun. The staff on a Tuesday night were great! Don't try the chrysanthemum martini - for girls night - we went there and blindly believed the City Search suggestion to order one. We couldn't drink it! The bartender good naturedly tried to remedy them by making them pseudo lemon drops. (Not one of the 5 girls finished their's) Pros: Great Atmosphere, service and decor.
