Shooting Stars Performing Arts

I have danced at shooting stars for 3 years now. I had danced when i was younger at CCS of Holden but i did not like the studio OR teachers. Miss Sam is very patient and talented. She is nice to EVERY dancer no matter how much talent they have. She will never give up on you. She gives amazing tips on how to improve and she has been very successful in competitions over the past 2 seasons! i am very excited to begin the next year with her and the other instructors! more

This is my 7 year old daughters third year at Shooting Stars and I can not say enough good things about them. Ms Sam and all her staff have given my daughter so much confidence in herself. I knew she was in the right place when she came off stage after being in front of hundreds of people by herself and said ""Mom, I am so proud of myself"". She didn't need a trophy to get that feeling of self confidence because Ms Sam instills it in her students each and every day. It is so personable there, she knows each students name and makes sure each child is always having fun while learning. She loves to teach and it shows in how she teaches. I am proud my daughter is a Shooting Star Performer and I recommend everyone to try them before going to any of the other area studios.... more

Hi there, just responding to the below comment as the OWNER of the dance studio. I don't believe I have ever met you Lori, or your daughter. And I would never treat a customer, never mind a child like that. Im so sorry you had a bad experience at a dance studio, but it certainly was not mine that this happened at. It is unfortunate that maybe perhaps you have gotten studios confused or even worse, making up a story about a new business trying to make it. My daughter dances at this school. It started off great and sweet. Samantha was great and her mom was so nice to us. Somewhere, somehow it all went down hill. Mrs. McShane pulled me aside one night to tell me that my daughter is not good enough to dance with the girls she is with (they placed her there). Hoping it would blow over we returned the next week. Once again she pulled me aside and asked me to move to another class. This started off fun but now it's sad. I can't afford additional classes and I don't want to hurt my daughters feelings... She's 8. I want my daughter to experience dance but not make it her life. Since when did dance schools only become about their image and how many trophies they could win?
