We had fun shopping in Shipshewana Saturday all day, then sat on our little front porch and talked the night away. It's actually a sweet little place, there's some road noise from the porch but you can't hear it when you're inside the cabin. If you want to eat breakfast Sunday morning good luck! NOTHING is open. We had to drive quite a ways to find a restaurant, but we were leaving anyway so it wasn't a huge deal. more

Stayed at the North Campground, there are two in Shipshewana, for two nights in mid-September. The sites were level and I did not have to use my leveler on the RV like I had to in other places. There was no campfire ring but I could see why as we were camped in an area with a lot of pine trees and fir trees. There is a community campfire ring if you want to have a small campfire. I liked this site because the stars were magnificent to see, something you don't get to see in the big city we live in. All in all, we will go back there again when we have to get an Amish fix again (we do this every few years). more

The Amish built log cabins are quaint and quiet. Can hear horses going by while enjoying the porch swings on each cabin. Have stayed in cabins on many occasions and would recommend them for those wanting a quiet stay. Continental breakfast is minimal. Included with the price of a cabin rental, but not provided on Sunday mornings. Water tends to have a strong sulfur smell. Wi-Fi only has 30 minutes free per day, then you have to pay. Cable TV in each cabin. more

We recently stayed at the south campground near the flea markets. Sites were grassy with a gravel parking area. Very nice and clean campground. Wifi available for 30 minutes a day at no cost, longer at a minimal fee. Would stay again. more

We recently took a 'girls trip' to shipshewana and stayed in the Shipshewana campground location 1/2 mile south of the flea market.\r The campground is one of the cleanest I have stayed in. They feature pull through lots with electric and water hookup available. Each electric post has a light on it that lights the road for those who are coming or going late, or have to make a trip to the bathroom in the night. Bathrooms include 4 showers and both bathroom and shower area are very clean. Surrounded on three sides by Amish farms, the surroundings are relaxing. No road noise, just the occcational cow or horse noises from neighboring pastures. more

This is the place to stay if you want a laid back get away. They have both camping cabins and lodging cabins. We always stay in the furnished cabins and like to cook out and sit by the community fire pit in the evening. They are well kept and clean, no play area for children, this is more of an adult location. We find it quite and friendly and return about once a year for laid back get away. more
