The first time I went to Shep's Discount Store on Normandy Blvd. was in 2002 and the place was a total mess. Products were all over the place and often you couldn't even go down the aisles because there was so much junk laying around. Hence the ghetto part. In the past two years, though, Shep's has really made an effort to change that messy cluttery gross feeling to one of order, structure, and cleanliness. It's still a discount store so it's not every going to feel pretty like walking through Belk or something, but it's vastly improved. I swear anything you want, they have. Whether it's a mattress, a 5 lb. bag of gummi worms, a new pair of shoes, an oriental rug, a new subwoofer for your car, a living room set, or Coke 12-packs 2 for $5 all the time, Shep's has it. It's like half Big Lots, half flea market. Their prices are great and the products are (usually) good quality. Basically, you just gotta try it for yourself.
