Not inexpensive but good. 10/12/2009

It is a plain cafeteria that hasen't been spruced up in several decades. But that said, I had a huge potato pancake and a great egg sandwich on a bagel, and the kids enjoyed their fruit cups, bagels and deviled eggs. Everything was good and fresh. Worst Place Ever 11/1/2008

It took me about 50 min. to get seated and the food was not even all that good. I had I really horrible time there and I dont think that any body should go there more

Not a fan of cafateria style... 6/13/2008

I am not a real fan of cafeteria style food so my review may be skewed. This was my first visit to Shapiros, I went with a group of coworkers for lunch. I felt that the sandwiches were over priced, although they were large. I was disappointed in my dessert - a huge piece of "peanut butter cake" that unfortuntely didn't taste like peanut butter at all. Not a bad place to eat, but for the $10 my meal cost (no drink) I could get better elsewhere. Pros: Location, Quick Service Cons: Price more

Excellent Deli 12/5/2007

I've been going to Shapiro's since I was a kid and it is fantastic! $9 is a lot for a corned beef sandwhich but worth every penny. The portions are huge. The corned beef is cooked perfectly and the rye bread is great. more

First time-good, last time-disappointment 7/11/2006

The first time we went here, it was good-obviously...we wanted to come back! So we did. and boy were we disappointed. My chicken salad sandwich was pretty gross, and no one else was satisfied with their meals, either. I'm not a big fan of cafeteria-style dining, but I had liked this place until our second[last] visit. I guess you can try it if you want, but it's really expensive, and honestly the food isn't that great. Maybe it's just a hitormiss situation, I'm not sure. more
