I've had the lunch buffet twice, loved it both times, and suffered no ill effects. I can't vouch for the authenticity of the food. Is it ""genuine"" Polish fare? Can't say - I'm Irish. What I can say is that the service has been nothing but first rate -- the staff have been courteous, attentive without hovering, and prompt about clearing dishes and refilling cups and glasses. As far as what goes on in the back or in the basement -- without the evidence coming to my attention, I'll continue to take my chances; most restaurants have aspects I wouldn't want to know about. The atmosphere is definitely Old World, and the cooking is, too. It's not healthy, but neither is a lot of restaurant food. But if you like that sort of cuisine -- heavy, lots of cream, sausage, starches, and oil -- it's very good, and that's why I eat there. There's a salad bar for the more health conscious. For what it is, I think it's great -- sadly, the same cannot be said for the neighborhood -- and if I lived closer, I'd be a regular. more

Cleveland's Slavic Village is a neighborhood in transition and those changes have not been kind to many older ethnic retail shops. Seven Roses homey public spaces are clean, neat, and well kept, but on-street parking is the only option, and the neighboring vacant storefronts make the atmosphere a bit grim. Fresh PACZKI on Shrove Tuesday were light and airy with a fair amount of great tasting fillings. Lunch buffet looked interesting. In my quest to buy real panczki on fat tuesday what better of a place then a homeade Polish restaurant. So I thought. Purchasing a Dozen over priced so called ""panczki"",more like over cooked dried out bread with a splash of filling. With my dismay that wasn't the only disappointment I recieved from this restaurant, I then called the store to express my dissatisfaction when then I was called a liar and I was told to bring them back and I did. I was greeted at the door politely at first when they had an array of Cleveland's finest police officer's there purchasing their order's. However, once the last customer left the elderly lady,man, and daughter came around the counter insulting me telling me I need to go across the street and buy american products that I knew nothing about polish food and what real panczki looked like. What they didn't realize is I come from a strong proud Polish family who also have two professional baker's in it, so to their dismay I do know what panczki are and what they are suppose to look like and that wasn't it. My point being god forbid you share constructive critisism be prepared to be insulted for being american-polish descent and expect to be thrown out. I WILL NOT RETURN TO SEVEN ROSES AGAIN BUT I WILL ATTEMPT TO FIND A CORRECTLY MADE AND PROPERLY FILLED PANCZKI FROM A HOMEADE POLISH BAKERY AGAIN NEXT YEAR. Everybody should go there and find out,believe everything you will read in this article,It's all truth: this is my story: they have their famous soups tasty/made daily??NO!! the soups are made from the powder packs and variety of things is added so they can taste like a homemade(they're not homemade),they store soups in the freezers 4 many months like almost every product in the store..such pierogies and stuff like that..workers don't wear safety gloves when they're prep the food..often after beeing in the bathroom they don 't wash their hands ( and still work in the store or in the back),couple of witness told me many interesting things ...listen up.. went in there one time the service was bad the owner had a bad attitude and the deli meats looked and smelled like they were about three weeks old. I even found out that the sausage they advertise from canada is made in there basement under the store by a polish butcher named andy...... go figure what a rip off Beware of expired products and products without expiration dates I've heard that there is a lot of rats(yes rats)in the basement under the store in the same room they prep the meat and sausage..I met couple of people and talked with them about it..I know that the owner of the store (Sophie TYL)is hiring illegal immigrants from Poland and she's not paying them for their hard work..It's sucks..Somebody should do something about it..Sophie Tyl used many people like trash..she left them without work and money when she didn't need them anymore..this are strong accusations against her but this is all truth ( got many witnesses)..I know for a fact that she mix up old salads with a new salads so U can't taste a difference..advertise as a fresh salads made daily(lies)..Asking me if I will go there again??Answer is NO..!!and you should do the same..!!! STAY AWAY. THEY MAKE THE SMOKED SAUSAGE IN THE BACK OF A GARAGE ON WORLEY ST, THERE IS RODENTS RUNNING AROUND THE KITCHEN, A LOT OF THE FOOD IS STOLEN FROM A LOCAL RESTAURANT (THE OWNER HAS A CLEANING BUSINESS THERE), THOSE DELICIOUS PIEROGIES ARE MADE WITH OLD MEAT AND I HAD THE PLEASURE OF GETTING SICK AFTER EATING A COUPLE OF THEM.
