Elmo 9/30/2006

This park is located just outside of Philadelphia, Pa. It is a little pricey for all they have there. We had to purchase 2 day tickets they were around 42 a piece. They did have a web site for information. I purchased the tickets ahead of time. They charge $10 to park your car and walk to the park. They charge a few dollars more for something called preferred parking. A rip off either way in my book. When we finally got to the gate the lines were long and the process to get in with papers to be scanned to long and tedious. They are very few rides and the lines were very long. The water attractions were also a long line including the lazy river. Never have a seen where you had to wait a hour to get in and then they come and make you get out after going half way around. Waiting in lines there was very tedious for no reason, they seem so disorganized. My children did like the characters though.. They did have a parade a few times a day. The nicest things were the breakfasts and the dinners that they offered with the characters. They are a bit pricey but the food was good and was worth the price and the children got to see all of the characters. more

Great for kids that aren't even into Sesame Street! 4/19/2006

My son is 5 and never really liked Sesame Street. I tried over and over to have him watch it, but he never liked it much. The GREAT thing about Sesame Place is that this is not a prerequisite! He LOVES it here. He is not into the character meetings, but still enjoys the shows, rides, parade and games. Last year we bought a season pass and I can't wait to get another one this year. He is also excited! I want to add that they keep the park clean and updated. They are adding three new rides this sesason in an area called "Elmo's World." more

Sesame Place! 4/14/2006

Yes, I still love Sesame Street which is why I love Sesame Place. Sesame Place is great place to visit. Even if you don't have any kids, you can still go and have fun. Sesame Place has dry rides and games such as Ernie's Bed Bounce. It also has water rides and games such as Slimey's Chutes. Sesame Place also has shows and parades such as Oscar's Big Game Show, and the Rock Around the Block Parade. I think my favorite is Sesame neighborhood. I a replication of some of the places on Sesame Street. You can visit Bert and Ernie's house! This place is such a fun visit! more

Open Sesame 2/28/2006

It's a great place to be a little kid! They have so many fun things to do for the small set. They have your regular amusement park fare like rides and water, but they also have some unique things only found at sesame place. Their unique attractions are more interactive and geared young, like a giant "bed bounce." Admission price is high, especially since they charge everyone over 2 the same price (and adults are the same price, even though this is a kids' geared park.) Your kids will definitely have a blast! more

Hey! Hey! Meet me at the Street! 10/24/2005

I took my 2 year old this summer and wasn't sure if it would be appropriate. She loved it! We have breakfast with the characters then moved on to the dry activies and some shows before lunch. We did the water park activities after the parade. It was great. Although it was crowded my daughter didn't mind. We alternated rides that we had to wait for then would go into sprinklers type activities. My only complaints were that we had to wait in line for 30 minutes to order lunch. Bring you own. On friend of our brought a cooler on wheels. There is no place to leave it. Camp out 30 minutes early to see th parade and eat your lunch on your towel We didn't leave until 7:30 after the last parade. We ended up buying season passes. It is worth it if you plan on going more than once. Have fun. more

Can You Tell Me How To Get... 8/21/2005

Its name is automatically equated with *fun* for toddlers, children and even nostalgic adults alike! Though it can be a pricey day out (+$40.00 for a day's pass--although it can be transferred to a 2 day Elmo passport at no additional expense), it is a magical place to visit! Younger guests will love walking down Sesame Street in the neighborhood, seeing Mr. Hooper's store and Oscar's trashcan (and a giant rubber ducky!), riding Big Bird's Rambling River and splashing in Ernie's Waterworks. Older children will be equally as amused on bigger water slides (Big Slipper or Sesame Streak) or the Fisher Price built roller coaster, Vapor Trail. Whole families will dance along with the Rock Around the Clock Parade! Parking is $10.00 (but plentiful) and staffers seem to be perpetually happy--a great time!! more

Wonderful Family Amuesment Park! 8/21/2005

Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Place? Well, you head east on Route 476... Seriously, your kids' (and your own) favorite tv show characters come to life in this great amusement park. It's the only one on the planet, and you feel the uniqueness when you are there. Show characters roam the streets, greet children, and pose for pictures. Rides and water slides are all themed and mostly kid-sized. There are things for adults to do as well - a small roller coaster, float down the tube river. It's a great daytrip for the family! more

Expensive but ok for once a year 8/21/2005

If you are looking for a once a year trip to take the kids to, this is a great place fo the whole family. Its best to go in summer but not too late in the summer because it gets really hot walking around and the lines are extremely long. Make sure to bring swimsuits and towels since mostly everything is outdoors and is some sort of water ride. try to take advantage of the Breakfast with Big Bird event . the kids will be thrilled. just be prepared to spend here, the food and admission is not cheap. more

Amusement Park for Kids 8/20/2005

Sesame Place is a theme park based on the worldwide phenomenon TV show Sesame Street on PBS. Although geared towards smaller children it can be a flash back to the past for adults. There's always great shows and the rides are something your child should enjoy. The only problem is that it is very crowded all the time, but the prices are about average for a large amusement park. more

Awesome For Children! Very Busy! 8/12/2005

Sesame Place is a really great day for children under 7. the park is mostly water rides so bring a suit. They have a ton of rides that are good for all ages. They have a dry ride area as well. There are numerous shows going on all day as well. They have a parade on the main street twice a day which is a treat. Sesame is expensive and very crowded, so bring your patience along. The prices are expensive and the food is really expensive and the lines are long. There is plenty of parking but you have to pay for it. more

Come on down to Sesame Place! 8/1/2005

We took our 2 year old here many times last summer, he had so much fun! The admission is a bit steep at $40 but there are always tons of coupons out there, and we wound up buying the two day pass, that was a good deal. I definitely recommend bringing bags filled with food and snacks. The prices are outrageous! $5 for a hot dog, $6 for a small bucket of popcorn There's a wide variety of rides, and some great water play areas also. Great on hot days. We will get the season's pass next year and go more often, its so close and so much fun! more

Great water park for young children! 8/1/2005

Mostly everything is outdoors and there are sprinklers and lazy tube rides and lots of water fun. Lots of fun for families with young kids - wear a bathing suit and bring towels, maybe a bucket and water bottles or juice boxes. Shaded places for toddlers to crawl. You can bring a cooler packed with lunch and leave it in your car and get your hand stamped when you go out so you can re-enter for free as food is expensive in the park. Open 10 - 8 during the summer. About 2 hours from NYC. Fairly expensive at $40 per person including children over 2 - maybe $3 off with AAA, about $25pp if you come after 2 PM but may apply only when park closes at 6. more

Fun water park 7/30/2005

I recently came back from a visit to Sesame Place with my kids, and they had a good time. If your kids don't like water rides, this really isn't the place to go because most of it is water rides. They do have some other things to do, but not a lot. It gets really crowded and crazy in the summer. The shows are really nice, and my kids loved seeing their favorite Sesame Street characters in person. We love Sesame Place because it's close enough to NYC that you can go there and back in one day if you want, which is what we did, because there aren't many good hotels in that area. The admission fee was about $40 per person, which is on the expensive side, and the food is really expensive too. more

A fun way to spend the day 7/22/2005

Water fun, splashing fun, sun fun. Parades, rides, lazy river, Ernies Water Works, tube rides, slides are just some of the fun you will have at Sesame Place. During summer months expect to wait in lines for a long time (having little kids is hard to wait in line!!!) You cannot bring any food into this park, you have to eat OUTSIDE the park where there are NO BENCHES or seats, just a curb! Parking is not free but there is plenty of it more
