I recently contracted with Jimmy to do some painting at one of my clients' houses. I was very impressed with his knowledgeability, professionalism and craftsmanship. I obtained several bids and Jimmy was the only one who told me exactly what needed to be done in an honest and straightforward manner. He kept me updated on every phase of the project and even went so far as to send me pictures and video of the project so I could inspect the work from Los Angeles where I reside. The finished product was excellent and exactly to specifications. I highly recommend him for all your painting needs! He will do a stellar job and will always be upfront and honest. more

Jimmy did an amazing job at our house. He took time in taking care of all details; even suggested what turned out to be beautiful colors in our home. Highly pleased with his workmanship. 12/12/2011

I called Jimmy to fix the mistakes I made when I tried to smooth surface my bathroom walls. Literally, the walls were a disaster. Jimmy gave me a good estimate and did a fantastic job. He did the work the right way, no shortcuts. Wall compound, primer, sanding, compound, etc, finally finishing up with the final coats of paint on the walls and ceiling. Sharp cut lines and a beautiful finish. When he left, the room was cleaner than when he started. I would definitely recommend him. Matter of fact, I already had him back to paint a couple hundred feet of baseboard for the next remodeling project. Flawless job. He'd definitely qualify for the ""Holmes on Homes"" craftsman award. more

In this day and age, we are so fortunate to have the internet to rely on in regards to other people's feedback and advice. Being unfamiliar with the Las Vegas area, we came across Seamingly Straight Inc. and read the many good reviews that were posted. Jimmy IS the company and has to rely on his own good work to keep up with any competition. After consulting with him, we realized how much he knows about his trade and how he takes pride in his work. He guarantees his job and we know we can call on him if ever we were dissatisfied with his work. We have one more project to do and we will be sure to call on Jimmy to complete the task. Jimmy is trustworthy and has taken the time to do his job right. Thanks for a job well done! more

He not only did an excellent job with the wallpaper and paint, he also dealt with some unexpected hiccups in the job in the most professional and positive way. Jimmy is an affable guy -- fun to talk to and work with. More importantly, in this context, he's a real professional. He is prompt in replying to calls, shows up when he is supposed to, works a long, hard day AND does a magnificent job. He consulted with me every step of the way (in the choosing and the application of paints in a faux finish for our powder room). He's a perfectionist. I'll definitely hire him again. Highly recommended. more

I live outside the Las Vegas area and Seamingly Straight came into my rental units, prep and painted between tenants. Finished our home on time, before the fourth of July 7/2/2010

Sweet Mother Mary, who is responsible for the stranglers who show up on estimates for my work. I am bewildered, and not afraid to say I am frightened. I advise any and all who read these letters to do a thorough job researching the companies before you let them know where you live. I could not speak one word to the last group of boys. I had it up to here with the days going by and no work tallied. I went to Sherwin Williams on Flamingo and asked them for their list of companies they would recommend. I called the three companies and choose Jimmy and Lisa because their hands were rough. They showed up on time and Pros: Very nice. Cons: The only good company Sherwin Williams recommended more

Knows this buissness AAAA++++ 2/22/2010

This is a good man who knows a thing or two about paint. Last weekend our store was covered in paint from some local teenage ruffians. I choose to use Mr. Lempky company based on his knowledge of the painted symbols and how he explained what he thought they represented. We closed down for two days and let Mr. Lempky set up shop. This Monday morning I arrived after 10:00 and I must say I am genuinely surprised at how much graffiti he was able to remove. I can still see some of the areas where they used some kind of acid and paint mixture but this is a world of difference. We have filtered through the rubbish and set ourselves firmly against using the tosspots that have shown up with nair a tooth to present. I beg you not take my word but instead refer to the Nevada?s website for Contractors. It will behoove you to dismiss the con-artists before they breach your front door. My jaw was firmly set during our initial interview with Mr. Lemki. He arrived and listed to our list of grievances with previous painters we engaged. James was able to gain my confidence and maintained his schedule. Our home is a swirl of entertaining, and my wife is enjoying the showers of compliments. If you are in need of a tedious and meticulous painter I would put this company?s card in the hat. Pros: Knowledge of their Trade Cons: They presented the second highest bid. more

Good work but drove me CRAZY! 9/5/2009

The paint job itself was done well with only a few minor mistakes (I'm very particular). I was upset that the estimate for supplies was double what we had to pay ($400 estimate, $900 bill). Made me have the cleaners come in before the job was done then left paint pieces in the sink and footprints all over the house and edge of tub. When he wanted the money, or anything else, he would call every 20-40 minutes for hours on end while I was at work. This happened several times and made me very angry as I always return calls as soon as I get them. I would note that every one of the ""people"" who reviewed Jimmy & Seamingly Straight have reviewed no one else, just him. No wonder there are 5 stars across the board. He's a courteous, charismatic guy who will talk your ear off and that's why I picked him. Would not use again no matter how nice the paint job was. A Great Painting Company 9/4/2009

We could not believe the change in personnel who show up on service calls. It has been many years since our eldest moved out to rehab but I still remember the smell of Illegal smoke. I am so very grateful that we met Lisa and Jimmy. I had three truck loads of furniture which had been in storage while we were stationed out of country. Lisa put the perfect colors together for us and Jimmy painted and hung our wallpaper with old world precision. If you are interviewing labor for your home Seamingly Straight is at the front of my phone book. Pros: Great ideas and very tidy Cons: I love everything!! more

I have great distain for messy workers in my home. The point of hiring the work is to have it done correctly. James arrived punctually and surmised our dilemma. I agreed to his estimate and was joyfully surprised when the final bill was less. I was mistaken when I assumed painting is not in a group of difficult of jobs. Good honest people..great job 6/5/2009

Mr. Jimmy was not our first choice, no sir. I talked Beth into contracting with the cheaper fella. In the first ten minuets of this other company walking into our home smoking and standing on my parents wooden chairs to tape around our windows I knew I had spent a few to may days crop dusting. I called Jimmy and told him of my mistake. Every morning for 7 weeks Jimmy arrived on time or gave me a call to let me know his arrival time. I gathered a new coffee maker for our morning discussions. I must confess I never had coffee come out through my nose before meeting Jimmy. Pros: These folks paint a line as fine as frog hair! Cons: I lost my cup of Joe partner. more

A+ Las Vegas Painting 5/18/2009

With this last Christmas Holiday upon us we searched frantically for a qualified company. It is difficult to find honest people who are trustworthy to be in our home. I am happy to let you know Lisa and James were a delight. Lisa was able to guide us on colors, whilst James performed the painting, faux finishes and wallpaper. I was most surprised when we were shown the actual invoices for supplies; our former designer soaked us for each piece we acquired. This company was a joy and a delight, very accommodating. I have a very long list of companies who were dissmissed from our properties. I ask only for our privacy and observance of our safety rules. Mr. Lemky was quite proper for a laborer. I do not usually write reviews for my help but this is the exception. When the help intervenes and wards off would be thieves, I believe it deserves merit.
