Frozen Drinks 2/14/2010

If you really want to get on Cindy's side, ask her for a frozen drink, any kind of a frozen drink. She loves making them. She becomes as sweet as a pussy cat after that. Pros: Not far to crawl to my bed Cons: Not far to crawl to my bed more

The Perfect Bar 4/19/2009

Cindy Dean, the bartender, was a total delight. She treated everybody the same, with humorous disrespect! A dozen of us went there for the first time for an evening of watching NASCAR on TV, while having food and drinks. The drinks are strong, and the beer is cold. The food comes from the historical restaurant, so it is a full menu. I had a the wonderful Riverview Ribeye and the seafood bisque was the best anybody had ever had. I want to move back to the area now that I have discovered this delightful saloon. Pros: Bartender, Atmosphere, Food Cons: none more

Chain-Smoking Alcoholic's Dysfunctional Paradise 4/16/2008

Locals speak of the legend of Seagles Saloon with quiet voices and unflattering facts. The place is small, with no ventilation and a large contingent of heavy tobacco smoking patrons, sipping their very strong drinks and chattinging about local lore. The resident infamous bartender (Cindy Dean - "The P--- Queen") is everything you need to be warned about: a brash, foul-mouthed old battle axe of a woman, with skin thicker than the hull of a submarine, and a unique entertaining style (think Texas Chainsaw Massacre - I like to make sailors cry - sort of demeanor). It's rumored that people travel from all over the South just to meet this obscenity-spewing local legend. That said, Cindy serves the meanest drink this side of the Mississippi. If you are a chronic alcoholic with low self-esteem in need of a good verbal beating, Seagles Saloon is the place for you! Expect to be stared at and ignored for a while if you are not a local. Don't forget to bring a gas mask if you need air, and if you are non-smoker - fuggitaboutit! Pros: It's Open, Very Strong Drinks Cons: Amosphere, Service, Smoke-Filled more
