Locals speak of the legend of Seagles Saloon with quiet voices and unflattering facts. The place is small, with no ventilation and a large contingent of heavy tobacco smoking patrons, sipping their very strong drinks and chattinging about local lore. The resident infamous bartender (Cindy Dean - "The P--- Queen") is everything you need to be warned about: a brash, foul-mouthed old battle axe of a woman, with skin thicker than the hull of a submarine, and a unique entertaining style (think Texas Chainsaw Massacre - I like to make sailors cry - sort of demeanor). It's rumored that people travel from all over the South just to meet this obscenity-spewing local legend. That said, Cindy serves the meanest drink this side of the Mississippi.
If you are a chronic alcoholic with low self-esteem in need of a good verbal beating, Seagles Saloon is the place for you! Expect to be stared at and ignored for a while if you are not a local. Don't forget to bring a gas mask if you need air, and if you are non-smoker - fuggitaboutit!
Pros: It's Open, Very Strong Drinks
Cons: Amosphere, Service, Smoke-Filled
