I have several friends living in Seabourn Cove and planned on moving in myself. I brought in an Application Fee (for the credit checks) and an Application Deposit (to hold the apartment? Never really got a clear answer on that one, but was told this is usually waived by another employee with whom I wasn't working and I was also told that it was refundable).
We ended up not being able to move in at the last moment and now all of a sudden none of my money is being returned to me. I guess my Application Deposit is holding the apartment for someone else? I brought up the fact that I was told this was a waive-able fee and that if it can be avoided in the first place, it seems like it can be refunded in the last place...
The employees in the leasing office are all on different wavelengths of knowledge, which is one of the main reasons that we did not go with this property. One day I am in there being told one thing and the next is a completely different story. My guarantor was told she brought in the correct paperwork and we were all set, just to get a phone call the next day that they are still waiting on information. It is just not a conveniently designed process and the employees should all be trained on the same information.
PS: Beware of parking. Looks like there is a plethora of parking spots, but you have to buy them and there is maybe 10 visitor spots in the entire neighborhood. This was a warning I received from a resident and does not really come up during the walk through.
I am mainly disapproving of this place because of the leasing office and their knowledge. If you are working a customer service position to sell people homes, you should probably be educated on one of the most important decisions in people's lives. Moving is stressful as it is, dealing with Seabourn Cove made it just a little more stressful.
