Thanks to Google, we found a wonderful, quaint, little cafe, where we could have lunch or breakfast, on our recent vacation at Isle of Palms, SC. Sea Biscuit Cafe!! more

Hidden Find - Bring CASH! 2/3/2010

Found Sea Biscuit on Citysearch as it is very close to where I've been vacationing at Wild Dunes for a couple years. I have to give props to the last reviewer as she basically sold me on giving this a try (especially since they don?t have a website). Pros: Homemade food, desserts, biscuits, near the beach Cons: Cash only, very small...gets crowded more

Love Sea Biscuit 7/9/2009

I have been vacationing in the Charleston area for years. My experience with Sea Biscuit has always been pleasant. The food is very creative and delicious. Maple French Toast, Spinach feta omelets, home fried potatoes, fresh fruit-strawberries, pineapple, watermelon, etc. It is a very small restaurant and the food is cooked to order but in a reasonable time. Seabiscuit is a must every time we visit Wild Dunes. Pros: FOOD! Atmosphere Cons: Wait time more

A Local's Point fo View 6/22/2008

The Sea Biscuit Cafe on Isle of Palms is by far the best place to have breakfast in the Charleston Area. The food is a home cooked breakfast without all the butter and chlestorol you will find at your average run of the mill franchise restuarant ie, IHOP(never hopped out fo an Ihop, always barely move when leaving this establishment), Alex's, Waffle House, Huddle House( and any other House you might think of). Pros: Food, Food, Character, Location Cons: Wait Time on the weekends, Best to get carry out at times more

Sea Biscuit Cafe was a horrible experience. 5/11/2008

While vacationing at Wild Dunes we dined at Sea Biscuit twice. The food was certainly above average in taste, but the staff was barely adequate. My reason for returning the second time was to not only dine, but purchase a giclee. I never got the chance. The ""gentleman"" checking us out was unbelievably rude. Our waitress had agreed to issue us separate checks. She apparently forgot. I tried to explain while paying the bill and was met with glaring stares, smart aleck remarks, and open rudeness. This occurred in front of many other patrons. I was shocked and mortified. Granted, their policy is no separate checks on weekends, but this was a Thursday. Obviously I will never return. The food wasn't good enough to make up for the way we were treated. more

Bobbie is bi polar 4/23/2008

I had been a good customer of ACME Cantina until of late. I paid $5 for a $4 bill and the waiter Bobbie threw a dime at me. I thought I was paying a dollar tip. I have tipped thousands of dollars to ACME. The waiter told me to keep my damn dime. The problem evolved from the poor ink that they used in their out dated cash registers. I thought the bill was $4 but it was $4.90. The next time I came into ACME he refused to wait on me and ordered me out of the resturant. The employees lied to a friend of mine to cover up their rudeness and told him that I cursed and never tipped. I came prove that they are liars. I had another incident in the resturant a year ago with another waiter that was ranting and raving about his car and slamming doors and threatened me. Later this waiter was fired for assualting a elder lady and stealing, but they told my friend I had several run in at the cantina to lie to their boss. I am a diabled American Vet that does not drink. I think they don't like serving people that don't drink, because we don't run up huge bar tabs and they don't get big tips, so they just refuse to serve you and give you ugly looks and lie slander you in public. It also takes um about thirty minutes to give you a bill after your finish.... Customer service is zero. I talk to the police about this matter. I was told by a friend that the manager said if I enter this public place again I would be assualted. The manager never called me back but instead slandered me... Thank God for diet coke and the sea biscuit no descent person would eat at ACME nest door Pros: Clean no smoking movie stars Cons: great more

They should change their name to ""Le Attitude"" 2/27/2008

The food was decent; however, the parking, table service and staff need a big change. Pros: Edible food Cons: Everything else more

OH MY GOODNESS THE OMELETS ROCK!!!! 7/17/2006

Arrived in Charleston very early Sunday morning from Pittsburgh, PA. We then made a trip to the ocean so that our 2 year old could get a glimpse of it before lunch. We originally planned on going to the Beachhouse on Isle of Palms, but unfortunately our attire wasn't acceptable. We stopped on a local street and asked a resident where a good casual place to dine was and he suggested the Sea Biscuit. We arrived to find that they only serve breakfast on Sundays, but that was fine by us. The toddler ordered the kids cake (pancake) meal, and mom and dad got omelets, she the crab, he the shrimp. These are probably the best omelets I've ever tasted. They came with option of grits or home fries, and were garnished with a slice of fresh tomato, and fruit. We enjoyed the experience so much that we returned on our last day in Charleston. My wife and son got the same things they ordered origionally but I had Crab Cakes Benidict-Yumm. Pros: Fresh food, the kids cake is a pancake with fruit to make it look like a simly with ears Cons: very small size, need to arrive early. Others could consider this "quaint" Worth the wait more
