Scofield Park at Austin

I was a former resident of the Amli at Scofield RIdge and they will truly get their money's worth in the end. My final bill came out to an extremely high price mostly due to a carpet replacement that was not warranted. The expert carpet cleaning staff of the offices found that the stains on my normal wear and tear one bedroom apartment carpet would not be able to be cleaned because they are those pesky ones that come up later once you clean them out. I have never heard of such a thing. Especially since that carpet was replaced for me prior to my move in and the fact that I have no animals or children. And if I had animals or children I would of not subjected them to those cramped quarters and unkempt surroundings. The security in that area is not to be seen. There were numerous break ins at the complex. Fortunately I owned a garage, it did not come cheap though but I was willing to pay for it being a single woman. I kept with this complex only due to its proximity to my work but I am super excited to be out of there now. So please if you are looking for an apartment to rent do not make it the Amli. They will gauge you heavily. I guess that's the price for luxury living. Ha! The gates are broken. I could go on... just read other reviews on the internet. Check the Better Business Bureau for their rating. Good luck apartment hunting. more

I renewed my lease after 1 year after they raised my rent $90. Now my lease is up again & they want to raise it $125.00 more. So if you're interested in Amli you'd better make it a one year deal because they are gonna screw you over big time on a renewal. Also don't expect the office to react right away to any concerns you have. My daughter is extremely allergic to bees & I had to call the office 3 times to get them to remove the nest from outside my door. more

Noisy, expensive, and the managers are horrible! When we moved out they charged us for the following month's rent because someone "forgot" to take us off of the electronic funds transfer list. I understand mistakes happen, but I had to spend upwards of an hour on the phone trying to fix the problem. They took FOREVER to pay us back, and only then when I called to ask where in the hell my check was. Turns out the manager "hadn't gotten around to sending it." The apartments look nice, that's about it. Expect to hear your neighbors doing EVERYTHING, including going to the bathroom and having conversations at a normal volume. Do yourself a favor and rent somewhere else! more

These apartments are truly beautiful and have lots of extras that you don't normally find in apartments. There are little "nooks" for storing books or decorative items. There is crown molding. The kitchens have huge islands. The bathrooms have huge garden tubs. They also have balconies/patios and an additional storage closet. Each apartment also have an alarm system. The complex also has a lot of amenities including two pools, a business center (where you can use the internet, fax, print, and copy for free). They offer breakfast free two Saturdays a month. They also have a DVD/video and book library that you can borrow from. It's a great place to live! more
